Fairfield University, a lovely private school in suburban Fairfield just one hour from New York City, returns again in 2007 as host for the Nike Softball Camp. The five-day camp gives players of all ability levels a challenging but fun week of softball play and competition. Daily instruction takes place at Alumni Softball Field and the University’s Baseball Field.

Camp Director and Fairfield Head Coach, Julie Brzezinski, brings 18 years of coaching experience to the plate and is entering her 10th year at Fairfield University. The Stags have won the regular season MAAC Championships the in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Brzezinski has helped produce two MAAC Player of the Year awards and two MAAC Pitcher of the Year awards. The team was also ranked 14th in the NCAA Division I with a team GPA of 3.311. Before coaching the Stags, Julie spent eight years as Head Coach at Campbell University, leading the team to back-to-back Big South Conference Championships, one Trans Atlantic Conference title and one NCAA Division I regional appearance.

Assisting Julie on staff will be Jen Smith, Assistant Coach at Fairfield; Emily Ling, Assistant Coach at Fairfield; Kerri Jacklets, Head Coach at Providence College; Dana Jenkins, Head Coach at Furman University; Jaime Wallin, Assistant Coach at Stony Brook University; Kathy Freaney,  former Assistant Coach at St. John's University;  Meghan Asselta, Head Coach at Manhattan College; Paige Smith, Assistant Coach at St. John's and Breanne Nasti, Assistant Coach at Stony Brook College.
