Campers will be lead by Rachid Maaouni, our Head Pro. Originally from Morocco, Rachid started playing soccer before he can remember. His love for the game grew into a passion to become better as he excelled at every level. Today Rachid is a licensed coach with 15 years of coaching experience. From 1986 to 1990 he played as a semi-pro for FAR (Forces Armees Royales) of Morocco, a four time African cup winner, and has also played for RCA (Raja Casablanca Association) in Morocco from 1991 to 1994. He has since then played pro indoor soccer here in the U.S., for Arizona Sandsharks from 1996 to 1998 and has also worked in exclusive universities, conducting soccer coaching clinics and residential camps. Recently he has played and coached inter united and dynamo in the Sun Coast League in Florida (from 2000 to present) and has coached the U13 and U15 girls and boys with the Saint Pete Raiders (from 2004 to 2005). His enjoyment for the game did not end on the field, as he also received a BA in sports studies and wrote a thesis on soccer: “A modern system of play or the Alternation between specialization and polyvalence.” Rachid’s experience all over the world has led him to be tri-lingual, as he also speaks French & Spanish. With his leadership, every camper will excel.

Our intensified program for aspiring Tournament Players is ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or pre-high school teams or other outside leagues.
“Our camps are open to any and all entrants. For your safety and benefit, we recommend that you choose a camp that fits your particular skills and level of development.”
Our Teaching Methods include (but are not limited to):
- speed moves
- group attack
- finishing
- one on one
- receiving and passing
- ball mastery/control
- Innovative Teaching Techniques: Our camp will be among the first to introduce futsal, 5 on 5 soccer, no walls. The only indoor soccer sanctioned by FIFA, the world governing body of soccer. We will also be introducing tennis soccer: these revolutionary programs, developed by the well known Dutch coach, Weil Coerver will provide a unique and logical approach to the development of our young soccer players.
Extra Activities:
MBSC/ NIKE Soccer Camp is one of the only camps that offer nightly OFF-Campus Activities. Our activities are pre-organized and include events such as: MLS Soccer Games, Laser Tag, Bowling, Hard Rock Café, Charlie Horse, Funway Café, 6 Flags (weekend), Water Country (weekend), Whale Watch (weekend), and much much more!
Activities are not mandatory, and campers either choose to attend a few activities during the week, all activities, or no activities. Either way, for those campers who stay back: There will be plenty to do such as our ping pong room, watching movies, board games, card games, volleyball, and more. Counselors stay back to keep the appropriate ratios on the trip and back at the dorms!
Extra Supervision:
MBSC/ NIKE Soccer Camp has Double the Supervision! This is because they hire 2 separate staff: coaching staff and counselor staff. This ensures that coaches are not overworked and can adequately teach and coach soccer every day. It also ensures that your children being well supervised during all non-sport hours. Also the owners/directors reside in the dorms with campers!
OTHER SPORTS:
At the same location, there is a NIKE Tennis Camp, NIKE Golf Camp, NIKE Softball Camp, and NIKE Lacrosse Camp. All 5 sports camps are directed by the owners: Mehdi and Maria Belhassan. Many campers who play more than one sport are able to play 1 week of Soccer and additional weeks in any other sport (without ever having to move locations… they can even stay in the same dorm room!)
When mixing sports, campers must participate in at least 1 full week of each sport. Sports can not be mixed during the week. This is because each sports camp is an Intensified Training Program and should not be interrupted mid week.
