The University of California, San Diego, popularly known as UCSD, is a public, coeducational research university located in La Jolla, a seaside resort community of San Diego, California.
Director of the camp is NCBWA "Coach of the Year" and Head Baseball Coach, Dan O’Brien. Coach O’Brien enters his 14th season as head coach of the UC San Diego baseball team in 2010 after leading his team to the NCAA National Semifinals in 2009. Last year the Tritons made it to the NCAA Division 2 College World Series Semifinals, finishing the year with a mark of (41-15).  UCSD completed the season in which it wins over 40 games for the second consecutive season and captured the California Collegiate Athletic Association regular season title, the CCAA tournament title, the NCAA West Regional title and won two games at the College World Series.

In 2007, the Tritons tied a school record with 37 wins and advanced to the NCAA West Regionals for the first time at the Division II level. UCSD would set six more team records, along with two, NCAA D-II All-American selections in Matt Cantele and Matt Lawson. In 2006, UCSD set several team records and advanced to the CCAA Playoffs for the third consecutive season, after a 23-13 conference record, winning their last eight conference games and finishing second in the regular season standings.  Six Tritons earned All-CCAA honors, including the conference Freshman of the Year.  UCSD was ranked nationally for five weeks.

Serving as Lead Instructor for this week of NIKE Camp is Assistant Coach Michael Oseguera. Mike enters his seventh season with the UC San Diego baseball program. Since Coach Oseguera's arrival to UCSD, the Tritons have played in six consecutive conference tournaments ('04-‘09), winning the conference in 2005 and 2009. Oseguera graduated from the University of San Diego in 2003, where he played for four seasons as both a pitcher and position player. He was a member of two West Coast Conference Championship Teams (2002, 2003).

Campers train on the beautifully groomed fields of UCSD.  Triton Stadium is one of the premiere fields in all of San Diego County. Located on the east side of campus off of Voigt Drive and across the street from Scripps Memorial Hospital, the field features two covered dugouts (with lighting and power), a beautiful scoreboard, a fenced in batting cage, and bleacher seating for approx. 1,200.
