The University of California at Santa Cruz is located just 35 miles from San Jose, on a beautiful coastal campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  Surrounded by gorgeous views and towering redwoods, campers will be inspired to improve their game.

The All Skills program is open to girls of any ability level.  You'll master the fundamentals, develop proper mechanics and gain valuable game play experience.
 
The Advanced program is recommended for high school varsity (entering sophomore, junior or senior year) and club players with a commitment to the sport and the ability and motivation to play at the college level.  This intense and challengng program stresses position play, advanced team techniques and physical conditioning.

In addition to drills and court practice, campers have the opportunity to play volleyball on the nearby beautiful Santa Cruz Beach and enjoy the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. 

Boardwalk Trip:  One evening, all campers and staff visit the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.  The entire coaching staff attends and supervises the campers.  The camper tuition includes bus transportation to and from the boardwalk.  Campers may also choose to bring additional spending money for boardwalk rides and snacks.
 
About the Director: Selene Teitelbaum enters her fifth year as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at UC Santa Cruz.  She is a UCSC graduate and a 4-year Banana Slug volleyball athlete and is currently a AAA rated CBVA beach volleyball player.  She has a Masters in Sports Studies from Bemidji State University, where she was also an Assistant Volleyball Coach.  She has coaching experience at all levels ranging from junior high school and juniors club volleyball to men's and women's collegiate volleyball.  Selene is also a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Check-in Time: 1:00pm on the first day of camp
Check-out Time:  1:30pm on the last day of camp
Training Facility:  East & West UCSC Gymnasiums, outdoor grass & sand courts
Meals Provided:  Overnight campers have all meals provided, extended day campers have lunch and dinner provided
Air Conditioned Dorms: Not available at this location, overnight campers should bring a fan
Campers per room: 2 campers reside in each room
Maximum Enrollment in camp: 72
SPECIAL NOTE: This is one of our most popular camps and it usually sells out.  It is advised that you enroll early to ensure your placement in camp.
 
All registered campers will receive a complete registration packet after they enroll in camp.  This packet has specific details about your camp including confirmed check-in and check-out times, directions to campus, emergency phone numbers and a checklist of items to pack.  Packets are usualy available around April 1st.
