Stanford Camp Of Champions Cross Country - Stanford, CA
Download Camp Brochure

The NIKE Cross Country Camp at Stanford University is called the “Camp of Champions” for good reason - Stanford enjoys international recognition for its ability to turn talented young athletes into world-class runners. The Camp of Champions offers campers the rare opportunity to experience firsthand the life of a Stanford student-athlete.  The beautiful Stanford campus and hills surrounding the University offer cross country runners miles of challenging and pristine trails. During each run, the campers are placed in small compatible groups based fitness and ability. Each running group is assigned an experienced counselor, for specialized training and individual attention.

Edrick Floreal, the Franklin P. Johnson Director of Track & Field, welcomes all runners between the ages of 12 and 18 to the 2009 Stanford Cross Country Camp. As director of both the cross country and track & field programs, Floreal has coached school record holders, Pac 10 champions, NCAA All-Americans, NCAA champions and Olympic medalists. A two-time Olympian, five-time NCAA champion, and eight time All- American, Floreal oversees one of the finest cross country and track programs in the nation.  Floreal is proud to offer the 2010 camp with Stanford’s assistant men’s and women's cross country coach David Vidal as the camp director. A former Stanford cross country and track standout, Vidal’s knowledge of Stanford and his passion for the program makes this year’s camp more exciting than ever.

Floreal is also proud to introduce Stanford's head cross country coach Jason Dunn to the 2010 camp. Dunn is enjoying great success in his first year on the farm and he will give the campers insight into the Stanford training method.   Since 1996, the men and women of Stanford have been on the podium at the NCAA Division I Cross Country

National Championship 19 times, including nine national team championships.
Campers meet and learn from Stanford’s impressive coaching staff that consistently produces NCAA All-Americans, national champions and Olympians. The camp counselors include current and former Stanford distance athletes who work with campers in small groups and offer their advice on training and racing as elite student athletes.   Currently the Stanford Men's Cross Country team is ranked #1 in the nation!
