Located in beautiful southern Connecticut, Sacred Heart, is home to the impressive William H. Pitt Health and Recreation Center, is an excellent facility in which to fine-tune your game.

This five day program is a great place for any young basketball player who is looking to develop and refine their fundamental basketball skills. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, team play, and much more.
Post/Perimeter Camp - Our 5th Year!
Post
This special Post Camp will concentrate on low and high post play…this is a unique opportunity to fine tune post positional techniques. Emphasis is placed upon low post offensive moves, defensive post play, and other specialized techniques that can improve your post play.
Perimeter
This Perimeter Camp is designed to concentrate on the perimeter game. The focus will be making the player a more proficient ball handler and increase explosiveness on the offensive and defensive end. Emphasis will be placed on perimeter play, including offensive moves, shooting, ball handling, footwork, and defense. Along with individual instruction, campers will participate in games and contests. Sign up today to improve your game outside of the key!
Both camps will incorporate conditioning and agility training to improve overall basketball skills and coordination. Campers will leave with an improved understanding of quickness and foot speed while training under the SHU Conditioning Program.
Ed Swanson, Sacred Heart women’s basketball coach, returns as the director of the Nike Camp. Swanson has amassed over 295 victories through his 17 seasons at the helm of the Pioneer program. Since moving up to Division I in 1999, Swanson has transformed Sacred Heart into one of the top teams in the Northeast Conference (NEC), never finishing lower than third place while earning coach of the year honors in 2003-04. The Pioneers have had seven consecutive winning seasons, winning over 74% of their NEC games in that span, and have qualified for the NEC Tournament each year. In 2006, Coach Swanson led the Pioneers to their first-ever NCAA Division I Tournament appearance where they fell to eventual national champion Maryland. In 2007, he led them back to the NEC championship game. He has coached one NEC Player of the Year, two NEC Rookies of the Year, six All-NEC, two NEC All-Rookie, five NEC All-Tournament, two CoSIDA Verizon Academic All-District 2nd Team and one CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team players.
