US Sports Camps are proud to offer a Nike Basketball Camp at Williams College in 2008. Williams College was the location of the first ever US Sports Camp when it hosted the Williams Tennis Camp 35 years ago. Located in Williamstown, MA, Williams College is a NIke Sports Camps favorite destination.    

 

Directing the camp will be long time Nike Camp director Pat Manning.  Coach Manning is in her 18th year as the Williams Head Women's Basketball Coach. Through her tenure, Coach Manning's teams have posted a record of 310-132 (.701 winning percentage).  She reached the 300 victory milestone this season and holds the record for wins in school history.  Coach Manning also recently guided her squads to the NCAA Tournament in 2005-06 and 2006-07. 

 

What is the fast break camp at Williams all about? 
Coach Manning explains:
“The fast break camp at Williams College will teach the fundamentals of fast break/transition basketball which is the style played by the Williams Women's Basketball Team.”
 
Areas to be covered include:
• Executing in transition using primary and secondary breaks
• Rebounding and outlet passes
• Proper court spacing
• Lay up series positional work (guard and post breakdowns)
• Defensive fundamentals
• This will all be incorporated into 5v5 games using the fast break style of play.
