Located only 30 minutes south of San Francisco, the 2010 Stanford University Lacrosse Camp offers players from around the country a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the life of a Stanford student-athlete.

CAMP DIRECTOR:

Amy Bokker is Stanford's Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.
Coach Bokker enters her second year after receiving Mountain Pacific Sports Federation "Coach of the Year" honors in her debut season. The Cardinal had won the previous four MPSF titles, and Stanford made it five in a row in 2009 while going undefeated in conference play for the first time since 2005. In addition, Stanford tied school records for victories and winning percentage (14-4 overall record, .778), and did so against a schedule that included three of this season's four NCAA semifinalists, and seven teams ranked in the current IWLCA Top 20.

This past summer, Coach Bokker was also an Assistant Coach for the Canadian National Team, which competed in the 2009 FIL World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic.  She helped coach the Canadians to a 4-3 record, winning a bronze medal after a 30 year drought since Canada won a medal in international play.  Bokker was also recently named an Assistant Coach for the US Elite National Team.

Prior to Stanford, Bokker was the Head Coach at George Mason University for 11 years and was the winningest coach in the program’s history. During her tenure, Bokker's squads maintained their status as one of the nation's elite programs with six top-20 national finishes, including a final national ranking of No. 16 in her last season. At least two players were named All-CAA selections every year during her tenure and the Patriots were well-represented with several IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and Verizon Academic All-American selections. These tremendous accomplishments can be attributed to her extensive knowledge of the women’s game and her ability to relate to today’s student-athlete. A native of Phoenixville, PA., she earned All-American honors in lacrosse as a player at William & Mary.

"Our goal at Stanford Lacrosse Camp is to enhance your daughter’s knowledge of the women’s game in a fun and positive environment. We will emphasize the importance of fundamental skills while teaching them techniques and strategies necessary to compete at the next level."  - Coach Bokker

CAMP STAFF:
Lead Instructors are Stanford Assistant Coaches, Brooke McKenzie and Jaime Sellers.

McKenzie was previously an assistant under Head Coach Bokker at George Mason. A 2006 graduate of James Madison University, she was a four-year starter and earned Second Team All-CAA and VaSID All-State honors during her senior season. McKenzie is also a member of the Canadian World Cup Team. This past summer, McKenzie won a bronze medal as a player in 2009 World Cup for Team Canada and received "Player of the Match" in the Canada vs Wales Game.

Sellers recently completed her collegiate career in 2008 as a team captain at William and Mary, earning All-CAA first-team, VaSID first team, and IWLCA All-South 2nd Team honors. As a senior, she led her team in six categories (goals, points, draw controls, shots, free position goals, shots on goal) and scored five game-winning goals.

Bokker, McKenzie and Sellers will be assisted by current and former players of the Stanford Lacrosse team.
