US Sports and the Nike Sports Camps are proud to welcome back Lee Miller of Elite Hoops Basketball to our camp family.  2009 marks Lee sixth full year as Director of Elite Hoops. Once again we have teamed up to help offer the best camps in the southeast.

 

Coach Miller possesses a wide variety of basketball coaching experience to help make you a better player.  Coach Miller as been a part of two nationally ranked and state championship high school programs while coaching at South Gwinnett and Norcross.  He has also coached on the collegiate level at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University. His camp experience includes co-directing the University of Georgia basketball camps, Duke University Basketball camps as well as assisting with Jack Haley's NBA Complete Player Camp in California and Pete Newell’s Big Man Camp in Las Vegas. Since 2004, Coach Miller has directed over 30 Elite Hoops camps and worked with over 1500 players.

 

Co-Directing with Lee at during the two boys camp sessions will be Head Boys Varsity Coach at Blessed Trinity, Brian Marks.  Coach Marks is in his seventh year as the varsity boys basketball coach at Blessed Trinity.  Last year he guided the team to a 27 - 4 record, it's first Sweet Sixteen appearance and a #1 state ranking in the Georgia Coaches Poll in December of 2007. The 27 wins are the most in school history and the 22 consecutive wins are the longest win streak in the program's history.

Blessed Trinity's season improved their record under Head Coach Brian Marks to 48 –10 over the past two years. Coach Marks was named the 2008 AJC Northside Coach of the Year, Score Fulton County Coach of the Year, and Roswell Beacon Coach of the Year.

Before coming to Blessed Trinity, Coach Marks served as the head varsity basketball coach at Mohonasen High School in Schenectady, NY for two years and at The Albany Academy in Albany, NY for two years. While at Albany Academy, Coach Marks led his team to a league championship and a New York State Section II championship. His team reached a top ten state ranking for the first time in school history.

 

Tamara Henderson is in her third year as the Blessed Trinity Catholic High School Head Girls Basketball Coach and her seventh year overall as a head coach.  Before coming to Blessed Trinity, Coach Henderson was the head varsity basketball coach at St. Francis High School in Alpharetta, GA for one year and Yeshiva Atlanta High School in Atlanta, GA for 3 years.  While at St. Francis, Coach Henderson led her team to their first ever, Elite 8 appearance in the state tournament.  This was a first in the school’s history, and they ended their season with an 11-1 record in region play. 

 

Last season, Coach Henderson guided the Lady Titans to one of their best seasons in school history.  The Lady Titans ended the season 22-9 overall.  They were the 5-AAA Region Champions which gave Coach Henderson her first Coach of the Year in basketball.  The Lady Titans then went on to play in the state tournament, making it to the Sweet 16 for the second time in the school’s history.   Coach Henderson was named AJC Northside Coach of the Year.
