/images/sports/TENN/campimages/emory.jpgUS Sports proudly presents the 2010 Nike Tennis Camp at Emory University. Following our 35-year camp tradition the theme of the camp is 'Fun. Friends. Improvement.' The camp provides each camper with new tennis skills and the inspiration and self confidence to continue improving after camp.

Campers will enjoy the beautiful Emory University campus, located less than 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta. Emory’s outstanding facilities include 12 lighted hard courts and 2 clay courts, grass playing fields, gymnasium, swimming pool, recreation center and comfortable air-conditioned dorms. .

All campers are evaluated on court and placed in one of three instructional programs.

Beginners-
learn the fundamentals for all strokes, including proper grips, stroke mechanics, footwork, movement and balance. Introduce match play.

Intermediate- strengthen strokes to develop more power and control. Examine match play strategies to help improve competitive skills.

Advanced- refine stroke production, increase power, and improve match play skills through advanced drills, physical training and singles and doubles competition. Our tournament training session is slated for the week of July 11th - 16th.

Each day will include morning and afternoon tennis sessions consisting of instruction, drills and match play. Demonstrations will divide each session into different segments
In the evenings campers will participate in a variety of supervised activities including, movie night, bowling, miniature golf and field games.

'We base our camp on balance....good tennis and great fun!  We encourage and teach our campers to truly understand stroke fundamentals and basic match play strategies. More than anything, we want our campers to enjoy this lifetime game long after they leave camp. Get ready to have fun and see your game improve!' - Coach Browning
