Camp Director & Staff

Mary Lou Mulflur’s dedication and teaching skills have allowed her to build the Husky program into one of the nation’s most competitive teams on an annual basis. In 2006, the Huskies placed sixth at the NCAA Championships. The season also marked the 14th consecutive year the Huskies have advanced to the NCAA Regional Championships. Mulflur’s efforts have been recognized by being named Pac-10 Conference Coach of the Year in 1988 and 1999. Mary Lou has achieved several milestones during her playing career including competing in the 1979 and 1980 U.S. Open Championships.

Joining Mary Lou is Jon Reehoorn, the associate head men's and women's golf coach at the University of Idaho. A former Washington State standout golfer, Reehoorn was a second-team All-Pac-10 selection in 2002 posting a 72.0 scoring average and helping Washington State to its only NCAA Regional Championships appearance in the program’s history.

Mary Lou and Jon are also joined by Marc Hughes, the current women’s head golf coach at Eastern Washington University, and Lisa Wasinger, the head coach of the men's and women's golf teams at the University of Idaho. The rest of the staff at UW is comprised of other college coaches, PGA and LPGA professionals and Husky Golf Team members who serve as camp counselors.

Washington National Golf Club

Washington National Golf Club is one of the finest college golf facilities in the country and home to the Husky men’s and women’s golf teams. Washington National, designed by award-winning architect John Fought, features a layout that gradually increases in challenge and splendor as it builds to a crescendo over the final five holes. Washington National played host to the 2002 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship, the 2003 NCAA Men’s Western Regional and the 2006 NCAA Women’s Golf West Regional Championship.

Washington National’s Practice Center features practice tees at both ends of the range. Nike camp and school participants will practice each day at the back end of the range, which is normally reserved for the UW Husky golf teams.

In addition to Washington National, the camp will practice and play at another OKI golf property during the week.
