NIKE INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED PLAYER SCHOOLSNike Advanced Player Schools assist motivated high school and tournament-level juniors in their quest to reach the next level. The atmosphere is golf-intensive and the focus is placed squarely on improvement. All aspects of golf, both mental and physical, are addressed. Our collection of venues is superb and we have arguably the best group of school directors in junior golf today. Great River Golf Club
Great River Golf Club, the Northeast’s premier Tommy Fazio designed golf course is a challenging, awe-inspiring course. In 2002, Golf Digest rated Great River the 4th best public upscale course in the country. With five sets of tees, Great River accommodates golfers of all abilities. The front nine weaves through wooded terrain, whereas the back nine exhibits more of a links style course. With twelve holes involving a water challenge, including six holes bordering the Housatonic River and the native winds that accompany it, Great River provides a challenge to everyone.
Camp Director
Instruction is overseen by Tom Rosati, PGA Member and Head Golf Professional at Great River Golf Club. Tom was recently nominated for "Golf Teacher of the Year" in the state of Conneticut by the CT PGA Section and was rated one of the "Top Five Golf Instructors in CT" by CT Golfer in August 2001.
Camp Specifics
Campers will be housed in the dorms at Sacred Heart University. Rooms are air conditioned but linens will not be provided, campers need to bring their own bed linens, pillow, blankets and towels. Roomates are 98% guaranteed and campers will be paired with other campers their age.
