We are pleased to have seven weeks of camp at the University of Virginia, including a Tournament Training Camp on July 5th and two High School Players camp beginning August 1-5 and August 8-12.  During the week of Aug. 8, Overnight Campers will be housed at St. Anne's Belfield School, located just minutes from the UVA campus.  (The rooms are air-conditioned suites with two rooms sharing a bathroom.)

Program Description
This camp provides a fun, but intensive 5-6 hours of group tennis instruction, lectures, exhibitions and match play per day.  Campers are divided into small groups according to age and ability to provide the best possible tennis instruction and experience.  In it's third summer with the Nike Tennis Camps family, the University of Virginia will hold seven weeks of Overnight and Day camps.  In addition to the sessions geared for all ages and ability levels, this year we are offering one week specific for tournament training (the week of July 5) and two weeks with a special high school component (the weeks of Aug 1 and Aug 8).  For all sessions, you can choose an Overnight option or a Day Only option (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Director Information
The camp is directed by Head Men's Tennis Coach, Brian Boland.  Under Coach Boland's leadership, the Cavalier men's team has risen to the very top of the Division I college rankings with "final four" appearances at the NCAA Championships in 2007 and 2008.  Boland was named ITA National Coach of the Year in 2008.  Beginning with five seasons at Indiana State and over the past seven years at Virginia, Boland has proven to be one of the elite coaches in collegiate tennis. Assisting Coach Boland are men’s assistant coach, Tony Bresky, and volunteer assistant coach, Derek Schwandt.  As he enters his seventh season at Virginia, Coach Bresky has emerged as one of the top assistant coaches in the nation. The 2005 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year, Bresky has teamed with head coach Brian Boland to build the Cavalier program into one of the nation’s elite. Schwandt is in his first season with the Cavalier coaching staff after a standout collegiate career at the University of Richmond.
