Welcome to Florida Coast Spring Training, where for over 30 years we’ve been running Spring Training baseball programs for high school and college teams in the St. Lucie/Fort Pierce area.

At Florida Coast Baseball Spring Training we are proud to offer professional fields - nine of which have lights for night practice and games. Our fields are professionally maintained by our full time maintenance crew. Fields are dragged before each practice, as well as, before games, watered each day, and lined when games are played. Batting cages (with lights) and practice pitchers mounds are also available for teams to utilize for practice and before games.

In addition to game play, each team is allotted time to practice. We feel the practice time is imperative for teams to make adjustments and changes that need to be made. Teams value this time to get ready for their conference schedule. All scheduling of practices and games are made with input from each coach to better satisfy that specific coach's wants and needs.

President and Director of Operations Vincent Carlesi personally sees to it that your stay at Florida Coast Spring Training is first class. From the moment you inquire about attending until you leave our facility to return home, Vinny is making sure you get what you need.

A former professional baseball player with the Pittsburgh Pirates and major league scout with the New York Yankees Vinny knows what coaches and players expect and deserve and he doesn't dissapoint. For over 35 years he has been involved with camps and has developed Florida Coast Spring Training into the premier site for players and teams.

Staff

Vin Pica

General Manager of Professional Sports Camps. A former professional baseball player with the Atlanta Braves, Vin still scouts with the Atlanta Braves and was former scout with the Philadelphia Phillies, Kansas City Royals, and Cincinnati Reds (over 20 years scouting experience). A favorite of coaches and players, you will find Coach Pica onsite available to address any special requests or needs.Coach Pica has also authored a baseball book which is in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Staff

Don Hare

Don served as Head Coach at Eastern University for 11 years in addition to being an Assistant Coach at Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College) for 1 season. For the past 8 years, Coach Hare has worked for Florida Coast Spring Training as our on site Field Manager and as an Instructor for our NIKE Professional Sports Summer Camps.

The bottom line...WE DELIVER! Year after year Florida Coast Spring Training delivers to its coaches a premier competitive training experience for teams getting ready for their season. When a coach or team has a question or needs something taken care of, a Florida Coast Staff Member is there to help. When it's game time, our fields are ready to go rain or shine because our maintenance crew is the best at getting those fields ready to play. As you enter the dining facilities, Florida Coast staff members are there to greet you and make sure you are comfortable.

Accomodations

Unlike other Spring Training programs out there, we are a full service operation taking care of all your lodging and dining needs! Hotel and meal arrangements will be made for you at one of nine beautiful hotels in the area (depending on the package chosen). Hotels can be arranged for either 3 or 4 per room and all of our hotels have swimming pools - most having hot tubs for your enjoyment. During meal services our staff will be on hand to assist you with any questions and special requests you may have.

All fields are located within minutes of our hotels, keeping your travel to a minimum.

Dining

Florida Coast Spring Training takes special care in selecting excellent restaurants at different locals that all teams will enjoy. Buffett style meals are arranged and a variety of food preferences are always offered.

Meals are arranged around your practice and game schedules with the first meal being breakfast on the day after you arrive and the last meal being breakfast on your day of departure.

The Florida Coast Spring Training camp is the best around.

"The Florida Coast Spring Training camp is the best around. As a Head Coach I never have to worry about scheduling practices, games, umpires, hotel accommodations, fields or eating meals. Vinny and the guys take care of that every year. We tell them what we need as a team and Vinny and the crew make sure we have everything we need 24/7. We have been going to the Florida Coast Spring Training camp since 1996 and are extremely happy with how we are personally treated. They go out of their way to make our week long experience the best it can be. As long as Vinny Carlesi and crew are running the camp we will continue to travel to Ft.
