NIKE Baseball Camps is excited to host a new camp in San Diego at UC San Diego. Each day will be filled with baseball drills that cover hitting, fielding, base running, and team play to help each camper take their game to the next level!

Directing the camp is Tom Myers who serves as the Area Professional Scout covering San Luis Obispo to Long Beach CA.

Individual Player Evaluation

Triton Ballpark is one of the premier fields in all of San Diego County and it recently got even better. On Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, the first ever night game was played at the venue.

Current features include:

• A complete lighting system added in 2011

• Two covered dugouts (with lighting and power)

• Scoreboard (located in right center field)

• Fenced batting cage with power available

• Bleacher seating for approx. 1,200

Field Dimensions from home plate to the fence:

• Left Field - 330 ft.

• Right Field - 330 ft.

• Center Field - 400 ft.

Camp Director

Thomas Myers

Myers has spent time as a pitching coach and Associate Head Coach at Santa Clara University and UC Santa Barbara. Myers has instructed 70 or more players that have played professional baseball and several that have played at the Major League level. As a college coach, Myers has also spent time as a Head Coach in the Alaskan league for the Kenai Oilers and in the prestigious Cape Cod League for the Brewster Whitecaps. Myers has 5 ½ years of professional playing experience with the Oakland A’s, Baltimore Orioles and St Louis Cardinals organizations. A graduate of UCSB in History, Myers also holds a Masters degree in Education.

Coach

Nate Trosky

Coach Nate Trosky is employed by the Milwaukee Brewers and is a consultant for the German National team, Team USA (NTIS), and for numerous West-coast College and universities (i.e., Stanford, USC, USF, Cal Poly, San Diego State, Santa Clara, Sonoma State, and others). His coaching endeavors have taken him across the world, to South Africa, the Dominican Republic, China, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, and to the Czech Republic. Coach Trosky has coached professionally in Europe and has coached with both the Croatian and German National teams. He has been an assistant coach in three North American minor leagues (the Northern, Western and North East Leagues). At Hawaii Pacific University, he received All American and Scholar Athlete awards. He holds a Masters Degree in Christian Leadership and Youth / Family Development. The owner of Trosky Baseball, Coach Trosky has over 10 years of experience running major showcase camps, events for college coaches and professional baseball scouts. Trosky camps have developed into the most productive prospects events in the country. Over the past 5 years, Trosky Baseball has contributed to over 300 players signing college baseball scholarships and professional contracts, with numerous players in the top 10 rounds.

Registration Packet

A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
