NBC Alaska Basketball Camps have been the leading basketball camp program in Alaska for the last 30 years. Many former campers have gone on to play at the college level. NBC Camps helps athletes leave camp stronger players and stronger people.
We are excited to celebrate our 27th year in Alaska. Our long term relationship with Alaska Pacific University and the University Alaska Anchorage help make NBC Alaska the perfect place for camp. Alaska Pacific's beautiful campus and modern dormitories together with the beautiful UAA's gym provide the platform for NBC Camps to deliver outstanding instruction and an amazing camp experience.
For 40 years, NBC Camps has been training athletes for success on and off the court. Creating the best instructional basketball camps in the U.S. is our full-time job. Former Division 1 coaches and players have designed a unique summer camp program that will help you excel in every aspect of the game. From our basketball curriculum, to our tournaments and games, from our Intensity Station, to our life skills training, NBC Camps works to provide the ultimate basketball camp experience.
Complete Player Basketball Camps
These camps offer training in all aspects of the sport including leadership and confidence training. NBC's Complete Player basketball curriculum is all encompassing to help athletes develop and master skills to play the game of basketball with excellence. Complete Player camps offer overnight (complete program training) and extended day options for those who commute to and from camp each morning and evening.
Pure Shooting & Offensive Skills Camps
Shooting is basketball’s most crucial skill. At this camp NBC staff work with campers to gain greater depth as a shooter as well as honing offensive moves. The focus of this camp is to become an offensive threat on the court. All athletes learn how to correct and improve their shot through evaluation, drills, and video work.

Coach
Fred Crowell

Crowell went on to be the first coach for Athletes in Action playing top twenty teams around the country. Coach Crowell loves coaching and has the ability to bring out what every athlete needs whether it is more intensity or more confidence.
Coach
Danny Beard
Danny was Southern Illinois Athlete of the year, Kansas State standout, clinician for the Uganda African Olympic Team, and coach of the NBC Thunder Team. Danny is Senior Vice President of NBC Camps and an ordained minister.
NBC Camps coaches are known for their hard work, great attitude, and commitment to helping you reach your potential on and off the court. Our curriculum focuses on helping you master even the most difficult skills as well as developing leadership, mental toughness, and confidence.
The NBC Difference
Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person. Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations. Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level. Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp. Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team. With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.

Flying To Camp?
Due to the increased volume of out-of-town campers for camp, NBC Camps helps coordinate shuttle service. If you fly into the ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL airport, an NBC representative will be waiting at the airport to greet you and help you coordinate your shuttle pick-up to the camp with other incoming athletes. The shuttle is pre-arranged by NBC CAMPS and can be purchased for $30 each way. A shuttle back to the airport at the end of the week will also be coordinated by NBC CAMPS. Payment should be submitted upon arrival to camp. CASH is preferred.
Shuttle schedule:
Departure – shuttle will depart from the ANCHORAGE INTERNATIONAL airport by 11:00 AM on first day of camp.
Arrival – shuttle will depart from camp by 4:30 PM on last day of camp. Flights out of Anchorage after 6:00 PM on last day of camp would be recommended.
Steps to take to use shuttle service:
1. Please contact Kristen at the NBC Camps central office at kjohnson@nbccamps.com at time of registration or up until two weeks before your camp to get the camper on the shuttle list. Please use subject: ALASKA BASKETBALL (CAMP DATE) CAMP AIRPORT SHUTTLE.
2. You will be contacted two weeks before your camp to confirm final travel arrangements.
Please note:
- NBC CAMPS coordinates the shuttle service, but does not assume responsibility for the actual transportation to and from the airport and an NBC REPRESENTATIVE may or not be in the vehicle.
- If there are less than 4 campers that are in need of transportation assistance on a given start/end date, we reserve the right to coordinate other shuttle arrangements with the family.
Totally worth it!
Our son has attended for 4 straight years. The excellent instruction, passionate coaches, individual attention, and Christian approach have been consistent each year. It is worth it to make the drive to Anchorage
Very good coaches
The coaches are very good. They push you to your limits but not too far. They fed us well. They focused on dribbling the basketball, shooting technique, and the go series(attack moves).
Can't wait for next year
My son could not stop talking about what a great time he had at camp and he can't wait to go back next year.

NBC the place to be
If you want a week of learning life and basketball then NBC basketball camp is the place to be.
More confident and responsible
NBC Camp has been great for my son. He has grown not only as a basketball player, but as a young man as well. He has come back from camp a more confident and responsible person each summer.

Highly recommend
Wonderful camp! Highly recommend for all players! NBC has great staff, kids learn a lot and greatly improve their game. Christian based camp that helps build character! We've enjoyed the experience so much we're sending him to another NBC camp next week!!
Improved self-confidence
When my son enrolled in the NBC Camp, he had some basketball skills but he thought he was the worst player on his team. At the camp, they worked with him on his self confidence and with his work ethic. We were all happy with how much he could learn and improve if he just put his mind to it. This was as much a lesson in life as it was a lesson in basketball.

Great experience!
My son has never worked so hard at a camp, and I thought for sure he would not want to repeat it, but on the contrary he would have lived there. The coaching staff was a perfect blend of intense, kind, strong, dedicated, and tough. He thoroughly enjoyed his experience and we will definitely be back next year!!
