Get serious about basketball this summer with NBC Camps and take your game to the next level.

NBC Camps has been training athletes in Alaska for over 30 years. Some of the best players from the state of Alaska have gone to NBC Camps year after year.  Improve your shooting, leadership, handles, defense and offense, and overall understanding of the game.  Take the steps you need to make your basketball dreams reality.  We want to help you become your very best on and off the court.

For 40 years, NBC Camps has been training athletes for success on and off the court. Creating the best instructional basketball camps in the U.S. is our full-time job. Former Division 1 coaches and players have designed a unique summer camp program that will help you excel in every aspect of the game. From our basketball curriculum, to our tournaments and games, from our Intensity Station, to our life skills training, NBC Camps works to provide the ultimate basketball camp experience.

Complete Player Basketball Camps

June 2-6 2014 (coed - ages 11-18)

June 9-13, 2014  (coed - ages 9-16)

These camps offer training in all aspects of the sport including leadership and confidence training. NBC's Complete Player basketball curriculum is all encompassing to help athletes develop and master skills to play the game of basketball with excellence. Complete Player camps offer overnight (complete program training) and extended day options for those who commute to and from camp each morning and evening. 2014 training will include decision making training on offense and defense. This training will only be available for the 2014 summer.

Pure Shooting & Offensive Skills Camp

May 27 - May 31,2014 (coed - ages 11-18)
Shooting is basketball’s most crucial skill. At this camp NBC staff work with campers to gain greater depth as a shooter as well as honing offensive moves. The focus of this camp is to become an offensive threat on the court. All athletes learn how to correct and improve their shot through evaluation, drills, and video work.

Highlights Include

  • Assessment of athletic and basketball skills
  • Intensity station/confidence training
  • Games and tournaments
  • Total basketball skill development
  • Coaches who invest in your game and life
  • Leadership training on ways to elevate your game and life
  • Encouraging atmosphere, hard work, Christian values and great fun

ABOUT THE CAMPUS
The campus is a world unto itself, with no through roads. The Alaska Pacific University campus in Anchorage is one of the most beautiful campuses in the United States, with the Chugach Mountains rising up behind nearly 200 acres of lawns, woods, and University Lake.

Campers will be staying in nice dorms at Alaska Pacific University. Each room has 2-6 beds available with individual private shower facilities. These rooms are not air-conditioned and we suggest you bring a fan. The cafeteria facility provides an all-you-can-eat salad bar with fresh fruit, hot entrees with beverage, sandwich and cereal stations.

Staff

NBC Camps coaches are known for their hard work, great attitude, and commitment to helping you reach your potential on and off the court.  Our curriculum focuses on helping you master even the most difficult skills as well as developing leadership, mental toughness, and confidence.

The NBC Difference
Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person.  Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations.   Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level.   Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp.  Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team.  With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.

Couldn't be happier

Our daughter really came out of her shell, and brought home a little more appreciation for her parents. She will definitely be attending again. Not only did she pick up some skills and energy in basketball she also took an insight to her faith and others around her as well as her confidence on and off the court. She hasn’t stopped talking about the camp and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you-Parent of camper

Worth sending any child

My daughter came out of camp with such a drive and attitude change that I will gladly send her back until the camp won’t take her any longer. She is also pushing herself to practice. Definitely worth sending any child needing to improve not only in basketball but life in general. Thank you NBC camps. God Bless and keep you going for years to come. Naomi-One satisfied parent

Great opportunity

I think that NBC Camps is a great opportunity that kids can have. It's hard to find a good Christian camp these days. Adding a sport to it doubles the greatness! At the camp you get good skills to take home with you and. You also see that you can push yourself past your limit.

Very good coaches

The coaches are very good. They push you to your limits but not too far. They fed us well. They focused on dribbling the basketball, shooting technique, and the go series(attack moves).

NBC Camp has been great for my son. He has grown not only as a basketball player, but as a young man as well. He has come back from camp a more confident and responsible person each summer.

Highly recommend

Wonderful camp! Highly recommend for all players! NBC has great staff, kids learn a lot and greatly improve their game. Christian based camp that helps build character! We've enjoyed the experience so much we're sending him to another NBC camp next week!!

Improved self-confidence

When my son enrolled in the NBC Camp, he had some basketball skills but he thought he was the worst player on his team. At the camp, they worked with him on his self confidence and with his work ethic. We were all happy with how much he could learn and improve if he just put his mind to it. This was as much a lesson in life as it was a lesson in basketball.

Great experience!

My son has never worked so hard at a camp, and I thought for sure he would not want to repeat it, but on the contrary he would have lived there. The coaching staff was a perfect blend of intense, kind, strong, dedicated, and tough. He thoroughly enjoyed his experience and we will definitely be back next year!!
