NBC Camps will host Canada's elite basketball camp and a position-specific training camp this summer in Three Hills, Alberta.
NBC Total is our 5-day premier high school/college basketball camp. This camp is for serious players who aspire to play at the college or university level. It's the choice for top players who have been to our Complete Player camps and are ready for a challenge. This is our most elite camp, attracting some of the best players from across Canada. At camp, campers receive training in leadership, strength and conditioning, nutrition, sports psychology, and advanced basketball coaching. The culmination of camp occurs when several college coaches visit, looking to recruit campers and a tournament where campers play against college teams.
At camp, campers will be learning, competing, and improving for over 6 hours each day. NBC Camps fosters an encouraging, intense environment where campers will work hard as they improve their skills. This camp focuses on increasing camper's confidence - both on and off the court.
NBC stands for Nothing Beats Commitment and has been running camps since 1971. Camps focus on confidence, goal setting, mental toughness, leadership, intensity, athletic and life skill mastery, the importance of personal faith and Christian values of integrity, compassion, and that each person is a miracle.

Shawn works full time at NBC Camps as the Canada Director and also oversees and coordinates locations around the world. A former basketball player at the University of Calgary, he is passionate about creating an amazing camp experience for kids who come to NBC.

CAMP DESCRIPTION
NBC TOTAL is NBC Camps' premier camp for serious athletes who want to succeed in post-secondary basketball.
This camp is one of our more advanced and intense camps. Former all-star and award winners are invited to attend, but if you are an experienced player who is serious about getting better, you can also submit a coach's recommendation for acceptance. The teaching is geared toward advanced players and the intensity level is a step up.

-Evaluation of where each athlete currently stands
-Detailed game plan for each athlete to play college basketball

POSITION SPECIFIC CAMPS - GUARD, WING AND POST
These camps require more advanced knowledge of the game and provide specific instruction for the guard, wing or post position. Athletes learn both offensive and defensive moves for excelling at a specific position. For athletes ages 10-16.

- 7:00 am Wake Up

- 8:00 am Ball Handling
- 9:00 am AM Session: full court transition, post and guard stations, shooting stations, 5 man motion offense, inbound plays/ games and tournaments
- 12:00 pm Lunch
- 1:30 pm PM Session: offensive attack moves, defensive positioning, court awareness/ 3v3 and 5v5 games
- 5:00 pm Dinner
- 6:30 pm Evening Program and Leadership Groups
- 8:00 pm Night Basketball Event
- 10:00 pm Lights Out
ABOUT THE CAMPUS
Rick Down Athletic Centre (RDAC) The RDAC as a hub of sports and recreation. This multi-purpose facility is the home of Prairie Pilots Athletics, our intramural program and our health and wellness facilities. It includes a centre feature court as well as three individual courts that can be configured for basketball, volleyball, futsal (indoor soccer), racquet sports, and a variety of other court-based sports. It also houses a rock climbing wall, fitness equipment, flexible seating for 1000 spectators, concessions, and full changing room facilities.
