Individual Basic Skills Day Camps for the beginner and intermediate athlete
These day camps focus on skill development only without leadership training, intensity station or games. The purpose of these camps are to help younger athletes become saturated in the important skills necessary to play the sport with excellence.

NBC’s long history of instructing athletes to become their very best together with the outstanding facilities at Bakersfield Christian HS provide an ideal location for campers to pursue excellence in all areas of their lives.
NBC Camps provides this skill building camp in Bakersfield to help increase the skill level of athletes ages. During this formative time, building skill mastery is crucial. It takes about 50-100 accurate repetitions over three days to learn a new skill. It takes about 2500 accurate repetitions over three weeks to undo a skill learned incorrectly. At NBC Camps, we believe it is worth the investment to help younger athletes learn a skill accurately. We also believe having fun is crucial for future passion. Our Intro camps combine great teaching, high energy, enthusiasm and tons of fun into a camp experience younger athletes will love.

Bakersfield Christian HS campus is located in the northwest section of Bakersfield in the southern end of California’s beautiful Central Valley. It is a very private, secure campus with outstanding facilities. Facilities for NBC Camps include 6 indoor volleyball courts and 3 full basketball courts in a spacious air-conditioned Sports Center. With plenty of room for instruction, training, and games, Bakersfield Christian is an ideal site to start your pursuit of excellence on the volleyball and the basketball court.

Basketball only camp check-in begins at 8:00am the first day
The awards program is on the last day of camp.
Basketball awards program time is 3:40 pm
Parent orientation for Basketball Camp: 8:10am
WHERE TO GO ONCE YOU GET TO CAMP
Registration is located in the front entrance to the Bakersfield Christian High School Sports Center (Gym Lobby).
Closing Program Location
Closing program will be in the Bakersfield Christian High School Sports Center.
All grandparents, parents, siblings and friends are invited to attend our awards program on the last day of camp. This is our closing ceremony and includes drill demonstrations, all-star awards, tournament awards, voted awards, enthusiasm and lots of fun.

TIPS FOR A GREAT TIME AT CAMP
1. Be sure to come in shape and ready to play.
2. Don't buy brand new shoes before coming. Wearing new shoes can cause blisters.
3. Bring a notebook so you can take notes on what you are learning.
4. Do not forget to bring a signed copy of our medical release waiver.
5. Get ready to have the time of your life.
