Pure Scoring Camp is a totally unique NBC Camp experience. NBC Founder Fred Crowell is the architect of this camp. The focus is taking advantage of the basketball game rules that make the game the best on earth. Fans love to see teams score. College recruiters seek to recruit athletes who can score. Coach Crowell’s 50 years of coaching experience teaches scoring in five ways: MAKE Shots, create Shots, force defensive help to make assists, draw fouls to get opponents' best player on the bench, and make free throws. Eighty percent accuracy is the goal at the line. This Pure Scoring Camp specializes in creating offensive minded players who know how to attack the basket and finish. The emphasis of this camp is on the mastery of offensive moves attacking from all positions on the court as well as the skills necessary to become an offensive threat.
ABOUT THE CAMPUS
The main campus is located in McMinnville, a community of 25,000 people. Linfield is one of the oldest colleges in the west and the campus consists of 45 buildings on 193 acres. The quiet, friendly city enjoys a central location to Portland (30 miles to the northeast), and Salem (25 miles southeast). Campers will stay in nice residential dorms. Each room accommodates two campers, with nearby private shower facilities. These rooms are not air-conditioned and we suggest you bring a fan. You do not need to request a roommate before camp. When you sign up for a room, have your preferred roommate with you. If you have no preference, we will match you with someone of the same gender and similar age.
The cafeteria facility provides an all-you-can-eat salad bar with fresh fruit, hot entrees with beverage, sandwich and cereal stations. Linfield's college size gyms provide plenty of game and training space. NBC Camps evening programs are held in ICE Auditorium.
