NBC Coaches

NBC Camps coaches are known for their hard work, great attitude, and commitment to helping you reach your potential on and off the court.  Our curriculum focuses on helping you master even the most difficult skills as well as developing leadership, mental toughness, and confidence.

The NBC Difference
Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person.  Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations.   Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level.   Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp.  Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team.  With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.

Coach the game at a world class level.  FAB 4
• Protect the ball
• Play with quickness and intensity
• Play Smart
• Finish the play

Teach by living valuable skills for life.   LIFE 4
• Guard your heart
• Live with love & intensity
• Be smart by seeking out wisdom
• Finish strong, never give up

TEC Method
The ability to know, understand and apply is the heart of NBC’s Teach, Encourage, Correct method.  True teaching takes place when the student knows how to reproduce the skill and self-correct the skill when it is wrong.

“Everything about this camp was extremely well organized, and they really made you feel at home while maintaining the "mentor" attitude towards the campers.

Coming back!

I gained considerable skill improvement over the course of this week, and the encouraging attitude from all coaches are major contributing factors to this. I will definitely be returning next summer and whenever possible.

“The emphasis on character development and Christian principles is excellent. NBC is about so much more than improving bball skills, it is about becoming a better individual. The positive atmosphere and energy is fun to be around.”

Loved it!

The fact that it isn't 100% sports was really good for me -- they teach about life too; how to respect yourself and your relationships with others, as well as managing your time appropriately so that you are mentally and physically able to put 110% of everything you have into whatever activity you're doing. The coaches are really encouraging in and out of the gym, and are always available to listen if you need them to. It was an overall great experience that I wouldn't trade for the world - I learned a lot about myself, as well as how to improve my intensity on the court.

Favourite Memories

Just wanted to thank you for an awesome camp. Kyler spoke very highly of the week. He enjoyed it so much he asked me if he could go next year. The nice thing is, although he loved the basketball and said he learned a lot, he said some of his favorite memories weren't about basketball. Just wanted to let you know that you and your team did an awesome job and hope to see you again.

Huge Supporter

I wanted to tell you that Cierra LOVED the camp this year and raves about it!! She learned a lot - not just about basketball, but about being a leader on and off the court.

It is one thing for a parent to teach their children about being a leader and how to treat others, but when a role model talks to them about it, I think it sinks in just a little bit more!

I have to say that I am a huge supporter of what you and your staff do in your camps and would never hesitate recommending your camps to anyone!

What is great about NBC is that they offer exceptional coaching and life skills. They show the kids how to work hard by having fun and inventing new ways to do the drills.

Intense learning experience

I have been bringing my kids to NBC Camps for over 12 years now and it is the greatest. I appreciate the positive attitude of all of the staff. It is an intense learning experience. Great skills, variety, athletic drive, and emotional well being are a priority. I can rest easy knowing that it's not a dating camp; girls and boys can focus on their sport rather than getting all emotional. Keep up the great work guys! I hope you continue to keep this basic formula for all of your camps.

NBC is fantastic

NBC is a completely different camp experience than any camp I've been to before. It's fantastic. The coaches work really hard to bond the campers as a group not only through basketball but off-court activities as well. Not only does a camper improve as a basketball player, but as a leader, a teammate, and person, as well. The basketball drills are fun and informative and provide competitive means to improve your skills, and all the while your coaches fellow campers are cheering you on in a positive learning environment.

NBC camp this year was a fantastic experience. All of the coaches are awesome and really fun to hang out with. I know I grew not only as a basketball player but also a person. This year I got chosen to be awarded the MVP award. I thought that was pretty cool. I think NBC was excellent this year and I for sure coming back next year.

Life changing experience

NBC camps have proven to be a life changing experience for our daughter. Even at the age of 11 she came home excited to share not only the skills she learned but the discussions that were had at the end of the day in D-groups. She loved her coaches and is dreaming of one day being part of the NBC coaching staff. Thank you so much for giving her such a positive experience!

Positive experience

I definitely recommend this camp to anyone who loves basketball and would like to excel and learn new skills. The whole experience was positive and made me realize that I can do anything I set my mind to. There was no negative or demeaning done to the campers. All encouraging! Hope to return next year to learn more skills!
