The Mike Allen Nike Basketball Complete Player Program is designed to push players to their limits, motivate them towards their dreams, and put them on a road map to success. Campers will experience much of the same advanced teaching and instruction as are offered with NBA players and college and high school All-Americans. Every day, players will train with Mike Allen, using the same skills training equipment used by the top colleges and NBA teams in the country such as the Vertimax, Noah Shooting System, The Gun 8000 (shooting machine), and the Dominator (rebounding & post player machine). Camp will cover a wide variety of athletic components – strength, speed, agility, vertical, core, flexibility, and footwork.
The Mike Allen Nike Basketball Shooting Camp is designed to push players to their limits, motivate them towards their dreams, and put them in position to become a great shooter. This camp is for players who have a desire to improve their shooting and technique in preparation for the upcoming season. Designed to take players through intense game speed situation shooting while reinforcing proper technique as learned from Mike Allen, players will learn a variety of ways to: catch & shoot, create space, shoot off the dribble, operate out of triple threat, shooting in transition, shooting off the ball screen, speed finishes, power finishes, proper footwork - pimary pivot, unside square, drop shots - and more. Players will have full access and be shooting on The Gun 8000 (shooting machine). Players will shoot over 10,000+ shots over the course of the week and will be evaluated and rated on the Noah Shooting System. The shooting camp will take the foundational concepts and teach players how to apply them in game situations and at game speed. Players will gain confidence knowing they can score when facing any situation.
What to Expect from a Mike Allen Nike Basketball Camp
When a player comes to a Mike Allen Nike Basketball Camp, they will experience much of the same advanced teaching and instruction as are offered at selection camps and NBA workouts, but broken down in a progressive form that every player can handle no matter their age or skill level. Players will participate in a daily film session to watch the teaching points and moves they have learned. The film sessions summarize the true purpose of the camp – to teach players how to train on their own! Camp Director and head camp trainer, Mike Allen takes a hands-on approach with all of the players and is present at all times during camp. The ratio of coaches to players will never exceed 10 players to 1 coach, but even that matters very little. Mike's innovative teaching techniques are designed to make every player feel like they are alone with him in the gym. 80% of the camp activity is drill work to improve triple threat, dribble triple threat, creating space with the dribble and out of the triple threat, NBA dribble moves, shot mechanics, intense shooting, moving without the ball, finishing, footwork to finish, motion, reading the defense, and decision making. 20% of the camp activity is game play. This is where the attendees can practice what they have learned in a game atmosphere. Games are 2 on 2, 3 on 3, 4 on 4 & 5 on 5.

Camp Meals: Lunch is not included. Please bring your own lunch. Vending machines will be available for snack and drink purchases.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability. Parents are invited to attend the closing ceremony! Departure immediately following.
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.
If five or more campers register together, as a group by mail or fax, each camper will receive a $20 discount. If 10 or more campers register together, as a group by mail or fax, each camper will receive a $40 discount. Click "Get Brochure" above and print the application. Camp will take place at the state-of-the-art 43,000 square foot facility, The Foundry. The Foundry is located on 2575 East Bayshore Road, Redwood City located between Seaport Blvd (Woodside Road) and Marsh Road- parallel to 101 Highway.
