Nike Basketball Camp Branson High School Ross, California
US Sports and Nike Basketball Camps are excited to be back at Branson High School for Nike Basketball Camp with Marin County basketball great, Gene Barnes. Coach Barnes will direct two sessions of camp: A Spring Break session from April 8-10 and a full summer session from July 8-12. Camp will be designed for players of all ability levels, ages 6-17.
The primary focus of this camp will be developing and refining players' fundamental basketball skills in order to be a complete player. This camp will provide an environment and coaching curriculum that allows players to properly learn without pressure or judgment. Areas of focus will include but not limited to, Proper Shooting Form and Technique, Shooting off the Dribble & Pass, Foul Shooting, Slick Ball Handling Skills, Offensive Moves and Footwork, Speed & Agility, Creating Your Own Shot, and Building Confidence.
After learning these skills students will be able to put them to use in our 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 competitions. These competitions allow more touches and more opportunities to use and develop these skills, while putting confidence into campers' game. After training in our camp, you can and will be able to: Shoot more accurately, develop better ball handling skills, develop advanced dribble moves, and most of all, build confidence and consistency in yourself and your game.
Highlights Include
- Superior instruction and skill development drills
- Competitive & encouraging environment
- Individual skill breakdown and evaluation
- 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 games with an emphasis on situational awareness
- Beautiful campus and quality facilities
Branson strives to create a diverse community where students are able to see themselves in the curriculum and identify with adults of similar backgrounds, ethnicities and orientations. Diversity must be represented across the curriculum, across the spectrum of trustees, administration, faculty and students, and woven into the fabric of the mission.

Camp Director
Gene Barnes
"I never thought of myself as a teacher or a coach," Barnes said. "But when I started working at it, I saw how I was connecting with the kids as a tutor. I like the idea that I can approach the passion of basketball and help them use their success as a vehicle to achieve in life."
Coach
Stevie Johnson
Steve Johnson played college basketball before playing professionally in Denmark and China. He also has extensive experience in basketball training and will help your child improve his/her game while building their confidence and teaching them the importance of team work.
