US Sports Camps is excited to once again welcome Coach Lee Miller, Director of Elite Hoops Basketball, as director of our Nike Boys Basketball Camp at Madison Academy in Madison, AL. The Complete Skills camp will run from May 29- June 1, 2012.
In his 9th year as Director of Elite Hoops Basketball, Lee Miller lends his expertise and enthusiasm for basketball to our Nike Basketball camp at Madison Academy. Whatever skill level you may be, under the outstanding guidance of Coach Miller and his co-directors Dexter Williams and Kerri Johnson, this camp provides an incredible opportunity to further develop your skills, practice the fundamentals, hone your technique, compete with other players of the same ability, and improve your game, all while having fun!
The Complete Skills camp offers a challenging daily format of fundamental instruction, clinics, drills, and team games. Players will have the opportunity to develop and refine their fundamental basketball skills. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, shooting, offensive moves, defense, rebounding, and team play.
This camp will focus on individual skill improvement with our morning skill development stations and afternoon Cut Throat 3 on 3 league. Each camper will also play in one 5 on 5 game and participate in our Living by Numbers contests each day. This camp is a perfect way to prepare players for their school, church, recreation, or AAU season. All of our camps maintain a player to coach ratio of 8:1 and are staffed by high school and collegiate coaches as well as collegiate players chosen by Lee Miller.

Meet your coaching staffLee Miller
Lee Miller has been directing Elite Hoops Basketball since 2003 and has partnered with US Sports and Nike Sports Camps since 2005. Coach Miller has been a part of two nationally ranked and state championship high school programs while coaching at South Gwinnett and Norcross. He has also coached on the collegiate level at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
Read Full BioHis camp experience includes University of Georgia’s Elite High School camp, Duke University’s Basketball camp as well as assisting with Jack Haley's NBA Complete Player Camp in California and Pete Newell’s Big Man Camp in Las Vegas. Since 2004, Coach Miller has directed over 40 Elite Hoops camps and trained over 300 players.
Along with his camp expertise, Miller worked alongside former UGA Head Coach and 1995 Coach of the Year Jim Harrick while serving as a student assistant at UGA from 1999-2001. There he worked with New Jersey Net Jarvis Hayes and Atlanta Hawk Damien Wilkins. During the 2002 and 2007 Final Four's in Atlanta, Miller was on staff for the NCAA's YES Clinics.
From 2001-2003, Miller served as an assistant coach at Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, GA. As an assistant at South Gwinnett High School from 2004-2006, Miller helped lead the team to two state tournament appearances. In 2004, they were ranked as high as #2 in USA Today and played in two nationally televised games. Their star player, Lou Williams, now plays with the Philadelphia 76ers. Nine other players from that team went on to play collegiate ball.
During the 2006-2007 campaign, Miller coached at Norcross High School. They featured five Division I signees and concluded the season with the 5A State Championship, a 29-3 record, and ranked #12 by USA Today. While at Norcross, Miller had the opportunity to work with NBA Lottery Pick Al-Farouq Aminu of the LA Clippers and Gani Lawal of the Phoenix Suns.
Since 2009, Miller has trained over 900 players, 47 of which have gone on to play at the Division I level.

Kerry Johnson is an Assistant Coach at Madison Academy and will be a Co-Director of camp with Lee Miller
Complete Skills: This program is intended to help players develop athletically. The individual camp is a great opportunity for young basketball players looking to develop and refine their fundamental basketball skills. This program also includes a curriculum for intermediate/ advanced players looking to enhance their skill set at the post, wing, or guard position. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, shooting, offensive moves, defense, rebounding, team play, and more.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

Lunch is not included. Please bring your own lunch. We will also have a concession stand open for lunch and drink purchases.
Registration Packet
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
