Coach Pottkotter began his coaching career at the NCAA Division III power, The College of Wooster. In three years, the Fighting Scots were 71-14, won two North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, and advanced to the NCAA Championships twice, including a trip to the Sweet 16. In addition to numerous players earning all-conference awards, he helped coach two players who earned All-American honors, including one who would go on to be named the NCAA Division III National Player of the Year. During his time at The College of Wooster, Pottkotter was mentored by Head Coach Steve Moore, who ranks in the top five in both wins and winning percentage in NCAA Division III history.
In 2002, Pottkotter returned to coach at his alma mater, Denison University, as an assistant to Bob Ghiloni. Within three years, the Big Red had more than doubled their win total prior to his arrival. He helped lead them to one of their best seasons in over a decade, which included earning the right to host a conference tournament game. While at Denison, Pottkotter helped recruit and coach the school’s all-time leading scorer, in addition to numerous all-conference honorees. While at Denison, Pottkotter also served as the Head Men’s Golf Coach.
After Denison, Pottkotter moved on to another traditional Division III power, Otterbein University, in Westerville, OH. In three years, the Cardinals had doubled their win total and Pottkotter helped coach the OAC’s leading scorer and rebounder. While at Otterbein, Pottkotter worked for legendary coach Dick Reynolds.
In 2008, Coach Pottkotter began hosting and directing Nike Basketball Camps in central Ohio. Hundreds of boys and girls have come from all over the country to work on and improve their games in the summer. He continues to expand his Nike Basketball Camp offerings for both boys and girls throughout the state of Ohio.
Coach Pottkotter earned a B.A. in History from Denison University in 1999 and a M.S.S in Sport Coaching from the United States Sports Academy in 2002.

We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.
If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $20 discount. If 10 or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $40 discount. Teams can register online or via mail/fax.
- To register your team online: Please have a team contact reach out directly to the USSC office at 1-800-645-3226 to receive a discount code to identify your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the coupon code during check-out.
- To register your team via mail/fax: Click "Get Brochure" above and print the application. All applications must be received at the same time via mail or fax. If all members of your group pay with a Visa or MasterCard, feel free to fax your applications to 415-479-6061 to expedite processing.

The positivity of the coaches was fabulous!
July 15, 2016: The positivity of the coaches was fabulous! They were motivating and this improved the players confidence. My boys improved their skills by attending this camp. It was a tough camp, and definitely worth it! Air conditioning would have been nice in the gym but my boys had fun and are looking forward to attending next year.

July 15, 2016: Great coaches, feedback, and leadership. I'm looking forward to using the skills I learned next season.
I really enjoyed meeting new people.
July 18, 2016: I really enjoyed meeting new people and sharing this experience with my friends. I feel like everyone should have been given an award for showing up and just working hard all week.
— Caden M. Camper
I saw immediate improvement in my son's skills
July 18, 2016: This was my son's first full day basketball camp. He was pushed physically and mentally all week. I could see immediate improvement at my child's summer league game during the week of camp. He was more confident and more aggressive. But time will ultimately tell as true progress is rarely immediate. He has outstanding building blocks as a result of this camp to continue his development.

We are already talking about next year.
July 24, 2016: My son was very surprised by his award nomination. He had a great time and is already talking about next year.

So pleased with eveverything
July 24, 2015: I felt like the evaluation my son's coach gave him at the end was an accurate reflection if his ability. I appreciated this because it told me the coaches observed him and knew him well. Thank you, everyday my son was eager to go to camp in the morning and happy at the end of the day when I picked him up.
— Shannon C. Parent
We'll be back next year!
July 30, 2015: This was the first time my daughter played with older girls and better competition. I was glad to see her enjoy herself and hold her own on the court while improving her game.
— William Y. Parent
Everything was great
August 16, 2015: I liked that they practiced drills throughout the day. My son said he learned new things. My favorite part was that it was not just a busybody camp, but they focused on teaching the kids skills. A lot of summer camps don't teach new skills, just basics.
