Nike Boys Basketball Camp Cathedral Praise Academy Charleston, South Carolina
US Sports and Nike Basketball Camps are thrilled to launch a boys complete skills camp in Charleston, North Carolina at Cathedral Praise Academy. This camp will be directed by Elite Hoops South Carolina Director, James Lee. Camp dates are July 29 - August 2, 2013.
This camp will focus on individual skill development with a daily schedule that involves morning skill stations and an afternoon 3 on 3 Cut Throat League. Each camper will also participate in our Living by Numbers contests and play in one 5 on 5 game each day. This summer camp is a great way to prepare for your school, church, rec, or AAU season. All NIKE basketball camps maintain a player to coach ratio of 8:1 and are staffed by high school and collegiate coaches as well as college players.

Cathedral Praise is located in Charleston, SC and is just south of I-26. Cathedral Praise is a convenient camp location for anyone in Charleston County including the North Charleston, Goose Creek, Ladson, or Summerville areas.
Meet your coaching staffJames Lee
James Lee comes to Elite Hoops with a wealth of basketball experience. James started his basketball career at George Wythe High School in Wytheville, VA. While at GWHS, James set 15 school records and will be inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in November of 2011. James went on to play four years DI basketball at Campbell University. During his time at Campbell, James was an instrumental part of the winningest class in school history. During his sophomore year, Campbell University made their first and only appearance to date in the NCAA tournament where they lost to the eventual NCAA Tournament Champion Duke Blue Devils.
Read Full BioFor the last 15 years, James has been teaching the game of basketball to players of all ages. He has worked over 50 college basketball camps and organized and directed over 100 basketball camps/events. This past year he coached at clinics with Bobby Cremins (College of Charleston), Darren Horn (University of South Carolina), and Dawn Staley (USC).
James continued to develop his year round basketball training and event management company into after-school programs, shooting clinics, 1on1 skill development work-outs, and evaluation showcases. He also founded Backpacks-4-Basketballs which has risen over $100,000 for school supplies.
Of the 300 high school players James has trained on an individual basis, 30+ have gone on to play at the collegiate level. He currently trains 25 of the best players in the Charleston area including a top 10 national recruit in the 2014 class.
Complete Skills: This program is intended to help players develop athletically. The individual camp is a great opportunity for young basketball players looking to develop and refine their fundamental basketball skills. This program also includes a curriculum for intermediate/ advanced players looking to enhance their skill set at the post, wing, or guard position. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, shooting, offensive moves, defense, rebounding, team play, and more.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

Lunch is not included, please bring your own lunch.
Registration Packet
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp. Campers must bring their health and release forms with them to check-in on the first day of camp.
