US Sports Camps and Nike Basketball Camps are excited to partner with Matt Wilson of Sports City U Basketball Academy. Coach Wilson will be leading one week of complete skills camp for boys, ages 9 to 17, at Ironton High School in Ironton, Ohio from July 8 - July 12.
The primary goals of this camp are for players to develop and redefine their basketball skills to become complete players.Campers will be surrounded by qualified coaches and basketball skill trainers from all over the country who have extenxsive experience working with elite high school, college, and professional players.
Wilson's staff is well experienced and dedicated to ensuring that all campers have a valuable experience while improving and gaining new skills. Through drills, individual instruction, games, and tournaments our hope is for all campers to come out better and more experienced basketball players.

Located in southern Ohio on the border of Kentucky and West Virginia, Ironton High School is a public high school in the Ironton City School District. Ironton is known for its high standards of students and outstanding athletic program.
Meet your coaching staffMatt Wilson
Matt Wilson is a Nike Basketball Trainer from Huntington, West Virginia. Matt has spent the past seven years as the Director and National Skill Development Specialist at Sports City U Basketball Academy, a Nike sponsored basketball facility in Hurricane, West Virginia. In those past seven years he has directed and co-directed over 100 basketball skill camps and shooting clinics across the USA, and trains over 500 players a year during those camps and clinics. Matt brings a wealth of valuable experience to his training arsenal after years of extensive work with elite high school, college, professional players from around the world.

Matt works as a consultant for Nike Basketball as well as a head camp coach for the annual Lebron James King’s Academy, and has participated as a clinician at the annual Nike Championship Basketball Clinics held across the USA. Matt also partnered with Nike Shooting Guru Jim Clayton and produced a shooting instructional video for Nike/Championship videos called “The Quick and Accurate Shot.”
Matt has coached at all levels of basketball including the high school and college level. He played in 150 plus college basketball games at the NCAA and NAIA levels. He was a four year captain, and named Academic All-American as well as the NAIA Champions of Character award.
Matt’s passion and enthusiasm for the game as well as his training techniques separate him from the rest and puts him as one of the top skill trainers for basketball players of all levels.
The primary focus of this camp will be developing and refining players' fundamental basketball skills in order to be a complete player. This camp will provide an environment and coaching curriculum that allows players to properly learn without pressure or judgment. Areas of focus will include but not limited to, Proper Shooting Form and Technique, Shooting off the Dribble & Pass, Foul Shooting, Slick Ball Handling Skills, Offensive Moves and Footwork, Speed & Agility, Creating Your Own Shot, and Building Confidence.
After learning these skills students will be able to put them to use in our 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 competitions. These competitions allow more touches and more opportunities to use and develop these skills, while putting confidence into campers' game. After training in our camp, you can and will be able to: Shoot more accurately, Develop better ball handling skills, Develop advanced dribble moves, and most of all, build confidence and consistency in yourself and your game.
