US Sports Camps is excited to once again present Mary Fleig as director of the Nike Girls Basketball Camp at Millersville University in Millersville, PA. Conveniently located in the heart of historic Lancaster County, Millersville is the perfect place to improve your basketball game this summer! The Post/Perimeter Camp will run from August 5- August 8, 2012.
Entering her 22nd year as Head Women's Basketball Coach, Mary Fleig lends her oustanding expertise and enthusiasm for basketball to our Nike Girls Basketball Camp at Millersville. Whether you are a younger player or a high school player, this camp provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills, practice the fundamentals, hone your technique, compete with other players of the same ability, and improve your game, all while having fun!
The Post/Perimeter camp concentrates on low and high post play and the perimeter game. Emphasis is placed upon low post offensive moves, defensive post play, perimeter play, shooting, ball handling, footwork, and defense.

Campers reside on campus and hone their skills daily at the Pucillo Gymnasium. The daily format, which includes fundamental instruction, lectures, and team games leaves any young camper with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the game of basketball. In addition to the instructional basketball program, exciting off court activities are organized by the staff such as pizza and movie nights.

Camp Director
Mary Fleig
Mary Fleig, the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Millersville University, directs this program. A six-time PSAC Eastern Division Coach of the Year, Mary Fleig stands as having the ninth most wins amongst active coaches in all of Division II. Recently, she became just the 15th coach in the division to reach the 500 victory milestone.
Read Full BioUnder Fleig's watch the Marauders have earned NCAA Division II Tournament berths in each of the last four seasons and in nine of the last 14. The longest-tenured coach in program history, Fleig registered her 14th career 20-win season in 2010-11 and 10th at Millersville.
Fleig has guided the Marauders to unprecedented success with winning seasons in 20 of her 21 seasons and nine NCAA Division II tournament berths (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). Over the past 13 seasons, Fleig has amassed a record of 276-108 and has reached the conference tournament in each of those seasons. The only Marauder mentor to eclipse the 200 or 300-win mark in team history, Fleig was selected as the 2001-02 District 2 Coach of the Year by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
A member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, Fleig serves on the WBCA/Division II All-American Committee.
Post/Perimeter: The Post program concentrates on low and high post play. Emphasis is placed upon low post offensive moves, defensive post play, and other specialized techniques that can improve your post play. The Perimeter portion is designed to concentrate on the perimeter game. Emphasis is placed on perimeter play, including offensive moves, shooting, ball handling, footwork, and defense.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
