What equipment is required for camp?
We recommend that all campers bring the following equipment with them to camp; cleats, baseball glove, warm-up jacket, baseball bat, catchers gear (if applicable), baseball pants, Hat or visor, batting glove. We also recommend that each camper label their equipment with tape. Prior to camp, every registered camper for the Nike Baseball Camps will receive a “registration packet” with a complete list of baseball/non-baseball items that they will need for camp.
Are these camps a good fit for all levels of players?
Our baseball camps are geared for campers of all ability levels unless otherwise indicated. At camp, campers will be evaluated and will then be grouped according to age and ability. If you are a first time baseball player, camp could be a good way to start to learn the game of baseball and gain some experience before trying out for your local team.
How will campers be grouped on the field?
On the first day of camp, campers will be evaluated by the camp staff and will then be grouped according to age and ability. All of our camps are general skills camps and the camp staff will cover all aspects of the game. Campers will also have time during the week to receive position specific work on their position of focus.
However, there will also be moments at camp, where campers be split up based on their position and will be able to get more specific position work.
