Round Hearth At Stowe - Stowe, Vermont
Stowe attracts thousands of vistors each year with its world-class status, majestic mountains, and charm. Pleasant days and cool evenings provide a perfect setting for campers to participate and learn at the NIKE Field Hockey Camp. Nestled within a spectacular mountain valley, The Round Hearth at Stowe houses campers in dormitory style accommodations, featuring exceptional meals, a large game room and outdoor hot tubs.
Training and tournament play takes place on groomed grass fields in the heart of Stowe Village. This technical skills camp focuses on skill development. Campers will be trained individually in all of the major fundamental areas of the game: hitting, 1v1 elimination skills, passing, scoring and defensive skills. Camp is open to individuals and teams. Players are grouped appropriately by age and ablility. Teams will be grouped together for training sessions and competition. Special end-of-camp shows are a highlight along with the culmination of the tournament on the final morning.
Session 1 is a technical skills camp that focuses on skill development for teams and individual players. We welcome teams so they can train together and compete at camp. Each individual player will be assigned to an age-appropriate room and training group. This first session at Stowe is primarily for the experienced player. A smaller portion of the camp is devoted to the younger/newer player with specific coaching/training.
Session 2 is an extension of the training in Session 1. This high potential second session is especially for high school varsity and ambitious junior varsity players. This is an elite camp preparing more experienced field hockey players for their upcoming seasons and the collegiate level. Players and teams are encouraged to attend as an add-on to Session 1, while staying overnight between the end of Session 1 and the start of Session 2. There is an addition cost for the stayover.
