Madison Leone was named the CAC Field Hockey Co-Player of the Year and was a member of the 2012 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-South Region First Team.

In 2011, Short led the Wolverines to its second straight CAC Title Game and third consecutive ECAC Tournament.  Among the highlights was a stroke-off victory over nationally-ranked Mary Washington.  Following the season, four Wolverines earned All-CAC honors, the third-straight year where at least four players earend the recognition.

Her 2010 team produced the program's first All-American and knocked off sixth ranked Salisbury in the conference semifinals to advance to the CAC Championship game for the first time since joining the conference.

Coach Short, whose teams have won nearly 82 percent of their conference games in her 17 seasons, led the 2009 squad to a dozen wins, a trip to the CAC Semifinals and a bid to the ECAC Mid Atlantic Championships.

In 2008, her team tallied a record of 11-7 after the 2007 squad went 12-5, including a 4-2 mark in the team's first season of Capital Athletic Conference play. That squad also advanced to the semifinals of the CAC tournament.  The 2007 and 2008 teams produced a total of six All-CAC players and one conference scoring leader.

Prior to joining the CAC, Coach Short led Wesley to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) Playoffs for eight consecutive years, including three PAC Championships.

Tracey began her collegiate coaching career at Wesley College in 1995 and quickly rebuilt a program that had finished a combined 0-22-2 in the two seasons before her arrival. Coach Short currently holds an overall record of 209-110 and an astonishing conference mark of 102-22. Wesley has won PAC titles in 2001, 2003 and 2004, while earning NCAA regional berths in each of those seasons. The 2003 and 2004 teams both finished with perfect records in conference play. She was also named the PAC Coach of the Year four times and has a regional coach of the year award as well.

Tracey is the middle of three daughters born and raised in Vienna, Maryland to Bonnie and John Short. From age 10 she has been involved in athletics - playing on the boy's soccer and little league baseball teams. Entering high school, North Dorchester, Tracey participated in three sports - field hockey, basketball and softball - along with numerous other activities.

After high school Short continued her athletic and academic career at Salisbury State College - renamed Salisbury State University and now Salisbury University. Academically, Tracey majored in Physical Education, receiving a Bachelor of Science in PE, Certified to Teach K-12. Most recently, she received her Master of Education from Wesley College in May of 2002.

Athletically, Short participated in field hockey and softball. During her collegiate career in softball she was a captain (sophomore year) and the team participated in three post-season tournaments. The field hockey team made the NCAA tournament in each of her four seasons. She was a member of the undefeated (21-0) National Championship team as a sophomore. The team lost eight starters to graduation and their head coach and still returned to the Final Four, finishing third after a triple overtime loss to William Smith. Her senior year they once again finished third in the Nation. Tracey received many field hockey honors at Salisbury including all-region twice and was an All-American her senior year. As a junior she received the Coaches Award and as a senior was voted team MVP. In 2001, Short was inducted into the Salisbury University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Following graduation, Tracey spent two years as an assistant with the Salisbury field hockey team, and the women's lacrosse for one season. In 1991 she served as head softball coach at Snow Hill High School, before returning to North Dorchester in 1992 to help guide the softball team back to playoffs for the first time since 1985.

Prior to joining the Wesley College coaching staff, Short taught PE for grade 1-11 at Worcester Country Day School in Berlin, Maryland. While there she coached three sports: field hockey, basketball and women's lacrosse.

She has been involved with three NCAA committees - Regional Ranking Committees for Field Hockey and Softball, and Chair of the All-American Committee for Field Hockey.
