Nike Field Hockey Camps is proud to announce a new location for 2012, Sacred Heart University.
The Sacred Heart Pioneers invite you to an intense session of field hockey training on the shores of the Long Island Sound.
Campers receive collegiate training, practicing techniques and tactics that have been successfully used by the Pioneers field hoceky program. Campers practice and play on the University's home turf field.

Camp Director
Katie Kloeckener
Katie Kloeckener begins her fourth season as a member of the Sacred Heart Unviersity field hockey coaching staff. Kloeckener served as the team's Interim Head Coach last fall with coach Chris Blais out on extended maternity leave.
Kloeckener joined the Pioneer coaching staff at the beginning of the 2008 season after a four year playing career at Ball State University where she graduated in May of 2008.
Read Full BioAt SHU she is responsible for assisting in administrative and recruiting duties for the field hockey program. On the field, she is responsible for offensive tactics and corners, goalkeeping skills, and developing a strength and conditioning program for the squad.
At Ball State, Kloeckener was part of a team that was the Mid-American Conference runner-up in 2006. She was recognized for her academic accomplishments, as she was named to the MAC All-Academic Team and was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Academic Team four straight years from 2004-07.
In addition to her play on the field, Kloeckener has gained coaching experience from numerous camps throughout the country, including at the University of Maryland, the University of Indiana, Dartmouth, and Revolution Field Hockey camps. In those camps she has spent time teaching youngsters the proper fundamentals and techniques of the game. Kloeckener has also been the head coach at a Region 3 site for the US Field Hockey Futures Olympic Development Program since January 2009.
While working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science at Ball State, Kloeckener worked as a strength and conditioning intern at the Ohio University Weight Room during the spring of 2008. In that position she helped set-up and run strength and conditioning workouts for teams and athletes.

Check-in: At the Christian Witness Commons Building 1 on Wednesday, July 25 between 1:00-2:00pm
No Lunch will be served on the first day. Campers should come ready to play
Check-out: Graduation is at 11:45am on Saturday, July 28 at the stadium
Final games will take place 8:00-11:45am. Parents are invited to attend!

Evaluation: Written by coaching staff
Equipment Needed: hockey stick, water bottle, mouth guard, shin guards, court and turf shoes and goalies must bring full goalie protective equipment
Facility: Campers train on grass and turf fields. If it rains, there are indoor courts available

Roommates: guaranteed if requested 14 days prior to camp
Bathrooms: On each floor
Linens: Not provided. Please bring own linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase and a towel

A NIKE Field Hockey Camp immerses you in the sport, giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential to improvement. Over the course of each camp, your self-confidence will grow along with your skills.
A program for your age and skill level
NIKE Field Hockey Camps are designed to help players, ages 10–18, develop athletically. You’ll master fundamental skills, experience lots of game competition, make friends and fall in love with field hockey. Upon arrival at camp, all campers are evaluated by the Director and Staff and placed in the program that best suits them for an experience that’s effective and fun!
Round-the-clock supervision
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and smoking are strictly forbidden and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for immediate dismissal from camp without refund.
Protective Equipment
Mouthguards and shinguards are required for all players. Goalkeepers must supply their own helmets, leg guards, kickers, chest protectors and gloves.

Get better together this summer! Teams are welcome and encouraged at all locations. Camp is a great way for teams to improve their skills individually as well as enhance their overall team unity. Register together as a team to ensure group placement on and off the field. Please call for details!
