Sports Leadership Camp: Specially designed for athletes in all sports. You’ll discover how to get the best out of your teammates, communicate with your coach, and learn how to best serve those who follow you. We’ll train you to lead using your individuality and the common traits all great leaders have in common.
We use game scenarios from a wide variety of sports, lectures, group and partner activities to teach. Whether you are a team captain looking to be more effective or a benchwarmer with a desire to head the team one day this camp is the perfect camp for athletes who aspire to do great things in sport and in life.
Olds College is located in the quiet and tranquil town of Olds, Alberta. The dining facility, dorm rooms and beautiful college gym are all part of the same building complex. The new Ralph Klein Centre is home to a 3 court gym allowing campers to stay almost exclusively on site. Campers will be staying in very nice residential dorms. Each room accommodates two campers, with nearby private shower facilities. These rooms do not have linen and bedding provided and are not air-conditioned and we suggest you bring a fan. You do not need to request a roommate before camp begins. When you sign up for a room, have your preferred roommate with you. If you have no preference, we will match you with someone of the same gender and similar age. The college food service provides multiple all-you-can-eat entrees for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Shawn Stetson
Shawn works full time at NBC Camps as the Canada Director. He has run NBC Olds since 2001, and now oversees several NBC locations throughout North America. A former basketball player at the University of Calgary, he is passionate about creating an amazing camp experience for kids who come to NBC.

*Please Note: NO dinner first night of camp. However, snacks will be provided.
