US Sports Camps welcomes Big Sky Resort, one of the most picturesque destinations in the country, as the newest junior golf camp location in Montana. Join the professional staff of instructors and get better this summer!
Our overnight camp at Big Sky offers a comprehensive experience that includes daily instruction, course play, housing, meals and fun, supervised non-golf activities on the property. From beginners to tournament players, our staff will customize a lesson plan for each camper, so that we never slow you down or leave you behind. Overnight campers are housed in the Huntley Lodge and enjoy meals at the resort's dining facilities each day. Players have access to the resort amenities and will have the opportunity to participate in other Big Sky outdoor activities during the week.
A Day Camp option is available to juniors which includes all golf activities and lunch each day. This program runs from 9:00am-5:00pm daily. A full, detailed scheduled will be available prior to camp.

Camp Director Mark Werhman
Mark Werhman PGA is director of instruction at Big Sky Resort. He is the current and 3-time recipient of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Horton Smith Award, 2012, 2014, and 2016 and currently serves as the Education Chairman and Apprentice Mentor for the Rocky Mountain Section PGA.View Mark Werhman's Bio ⟩
Mark got his start in the golf business immediately after college working as an Assistant Golf Professional at Maddens Resort in Brainerd, MN. During the winter months Mark went to Naples, FL to work at The Club Pelican Bay, eventually moving to Naples to live and work year round in the fall of 2002. In 2006 Mark was hired to be the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at Olde Florida Golf Club where he spent two years in that position. In January of 2008 Mark was elected to membership as a Class A Member in the Professional Golfers Association of America. Shortly after, Mark was hired to be the General Manager at Eagle Rock Golf Course in Billings, MT. After four seasons at Eagle Rock Mark was then hired by Big Sky Resort to his current position of Head Golf Professional in May of 2012.
This program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18. The staff is on hand to provide campers with top quality instruction each day. At Nike Junior Golf Camps we accommodate all skill levels; the junior player just discovering the game, the high school player trying to move up on the team, and the tournament level junior looking to improve his or her tournament results. The Overnight fee includes golf instruction, course play, evening activities, housing and all meals. Day Camp option available for commuters - price includes all golf activities and lunch.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in takes place from 1:00-2:30pm at Big Sky Resort. Camp graduation takes place at 12:00pm at Big Sky Resort, check-out occurs around 12:30pm.
Campers stay in hotel style rooms at the Huntley Lodge. Campers stay two-per-room.
Nike Junior Golf Camps does not provide transportation to and from airports, bus depots or train stations. The packet we send to registered campers in the spring offers suggestions on shuttle services for each specific camp.mps
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff lives in the dormitories/resort accommodations with the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 7:30am Wake up, breakfast
- 8:30am Transportation to golf course for morning instruction
- 9:15am Instruction - campers rotate stations working on putting, chipping, pitching and full swing
- 12:00pm Lunch and rest
- 1:00pm Course play at Big Sky Resort Golf Course under staff supervision
- 5:00pm Transportation back to Huntley Lodge
- 6:00pm Dinner
- 7:00pm Evening activities on property (TBD)
- 10:00pm Campers in rooms and lights out
Big Sky Resort
