Nike Junior Golf Camps
Homestead Resort will return to host our advanced junior golf camp just south of Park City, UT. This golf-intensive program is open to competitive boys and girls, ages 12 - 18, looking to take their game to new heights.
Nike Advanced Junior Golf Camp offers competitive junior golfers a unique opportunity to play some of the best golf courses in America, greatly improve their skills and learn valuable lessons about tournament and college golf. Mornings are spent in small group and individual instruction at a 4:1 ratio, with an emphasis on fine-tuning existing swings and developing more consistency. Course play takes place each afternoon where instruction continues under real playing conditions in a tournament setting.
Participants enjoy beautiful accommodations at Homestead Resort, just outside of Park City, UT. For course play, campers enjoy The Homestead GC and Red Ledges GC. Our camp utilizes The Jim McLean Golf Academy at Red Ledges GC for a majority of morning instructional sessions. This program is suitable for intermediate and advanced junior golfers looking for a competitive camp experience.

Camp Director Nate Olson
Nate is currently a golf teaching professional and Certified Jim McLean Golf School Instructor at Red Ledges Golf Club in Heber City, UT. He also serves as head golf coach for Judge Memorial High School varsity teams in Salt Lake City.
Camp Details
This program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. Nike Advanced Golf Camps are golf-intensive and create the ideal environment for the advanced player ready to take their game to the next level. Campers will hear first hand accounts of how members of our staff established themselves throughout various stages of their development. The importance of goal setting, time management, and hard work will be stressed as these are key elements to attaining success in golf and life.

- Overnight: Sunday - Thursday
- Extended Day: Sunday - Thursday
- Sunday: 11:30pm - 8:00pm
- Monday - Wednesday: 9:00am - 8:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am - 12:00pm
- During the week, Extended Day campers arrive around 9:00am and depart around 8:00pm. This program includes all golf activities, lunch, dinner and evening activities. A complete schedule will be given out during check-in.
- Check-In: Registration occurs on Sunday from 11:30am-12:00pm at Homestead Resort for all campers (Overnight and Extended Day). The first golf session takes place after check-in.
- Check-out: Camp graduation is at 11:30am on Thursday. Departure is from 12:00-12:30pm following graduation.
- Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Extended Day campers will receive lunch and dinner.
- Program: The Advanced Camp program is specifically designed for the tournament golfer who wishes to play college golf and improve their tournament results. It is open to all skill levels of young men and women, ages 12-18, but the curriculum is geared towards players who are playing competitively. Specifically, the camp teaches the practice habits of championship golfers, fitness, mental strength, college preparation, time management, course management, academics and team camaraderie.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning instruction and afternoon course play.
- Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Extended Day campers will receive lunch and dinner.
- Supervision: Campers are under staff supervision at all times as staff members live in adjacent rooms to overnight campers. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
- Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a Nike hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
- Facilities: Homestead Resort
- Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
- Housing:
- Hotel: Homestead Resort
- Campers Per Room: Campers stay in hotel-style rooms.
- Roommates: Campers stay in two-person rooms and are assigned by age, gender and roommate requests. Roommate requests must be received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Linens: Linens will be provided during camp.
- Air Conditioning: All rooms are air-conditioned.
- Spending Money: We recommend that each overnight camper bring $60-75 per week of spending money to cover incidentals like snacks, souvenirs and other activities. Please bring cash in a marked envelope for your child.
*Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.

US Sports Camps and Homestead Resort are NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. We recommend that you do not send unnecessary items, which can get lost. Camper bags may be inspected upon check in or at any time during camp to ensure no drugs, alcohol or other improper substances are brought to camp.

TRANSPORTATION
Nike Junior Golf Camps does not provide ground transportation from airports, train stations or bus stations. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for getting campers to and from camp check-in/out.

Sample Daily Schedule
- 7:00am Wake-up, breakfast
- 8:00am Daily discussion at practice facility and skills demonstrations from staff covering each facet of the game
- 9:00am Instruction - station rotation, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and the full swing
- Noon Lunch, relaxation
- 1:00pm Course play with the camp staff. Tournament setting with focus on improving all aspects of competitive play
- 6:00pm Dinner, free-time, relaxation
- 7:30pm Evening session – discussions on tournament preparation, club-fitting, practice routines, opportunities for college golf.

Homestead Resort
The Homestead Golf Course was designed by PGA Senior Tour Professional Bruce Summerhayes. This spectacular course winds through the surrounding Snake Creek Valley and Wasatch Mountains. The course, located only 20 minutes from Park City, is a par 72 course measuring 7,017 yards from the back tees and plays 5,091 yards from the forward tees.
Red Ledges
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at Red Ledges has quickly captured many of the finest awards presented in the golfing world. In December of 2009 GOLF Magazine rated the course as the #1 Best New Private Course in America. In 2011 and 2012 Red Ledges was named one of Golfweek’s Top 100 Residential Courses and won Utah Best of State award in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Red Ledges is home to The Jim McLean Golf Academy, which is used throughout the camp week for instruction sessions.
Wasatch Mountain Golf Course
The well-known Mountain and Lake courses at Wasatch Mountain State Park are consistently ranked among the most popular, affordable, and scenic in Utah. The Mountain Course was finished in 1998 and presents a completely different set of challenges along with spectacular views of the Heber Valley. At an elevation of 6,000 feet, golfers enjoy cooler temperatures during the summer months, and spectacular fall colors in the autumn. Nationally, Golf Digest rated Wasatch Mountain as one of Utah’s Best Places to Play, giving the facility 4.5 out of 5 stars!
