Come to Nike Golf Camps in Boulder, CO for gorgeous weather, superb instruction and a variety of golf at several area courses to enjoy the ultimate camp experience. Long-time Nike Camp Director, Brad Neher, has put together a curriculum to benefit junior golfers of all ages and ability levels.
Campers stay on campus in the University of Colorado dorms. Founded in 1876, this is the original campus of the University of Colorado. Built in the shadow of the Flatirons–the Boulder campus is often recognized as one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation.

Campers are given the opportunity to practice and play at some of the most beautiful and top-rated courses in the state. Each day campers will travel to a different course around Boulder to polish their golf games. The courses include Riverdale Golf Courses, Lake Valley Golf Club, Flatirons Golf Course and Hyland Hills Golf Club. Brad has been directing Nike Golf Camps in Boulder, CO since 1999. He is the former assistant coach of the University of Colorado men's golf team and served as the head coach during the 2005-2006 season. An honorable mention U.S. Kids “Top 50” Junior Instructor of America, he was the CEO/Founder of ACE (Access, Competition & Etiquette) Golf Foundation which he formed in 1998, running the organization until it merged with the Gold Crown Junior Golf Association in 2003.
From 1999-2006, he created concepts and fulfilled fundraising efforts to build the Gold Crown Junior Learning Center. In that role, he developed all GCJGA instruction programs that served the youth of Metro Denver, including clinics for the Boy’s & Girl’s Clubs of Metro Denver. He has worked as a GCJGA Director of Instruction for the past eight years (2003-11).
Brad has two professional wins, the 1999 U.S. Open Local Qualifying & 2008 Continental Airlines Pro-Am. He was a varsity letter winner for the nationally ranked CU golf team in 1992-93 and 1993-94. Neher qualified for the 1992 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, was a Colorado Cup Team member, and captured six amateur titles in all.
Brad places an emphasis on the “FUNdamentals” of the game and believes that fun golf depends on personal successes and improvement. He is currently working on his first golf book, Simple 7!
Nike camp staffs are generally comprised of other teaching and touring professionals, college coaches, renowned high school coaches and former/current college players who serve as camp counselors.
Nike Junior Overnight Camp at Boulder offers each junior golfer the same opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point. Coach Neher and his staff offer a positive and fun learning environment, one in which campers can thrive under the direction of motivated and highly skilled instructors. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in will take place on Sunday, June 8th at CU Boulder from 1:00-2:30 pm. The graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 13th at 1:00pm, followed by check-out from 1:30-2:00 pm. Pillows and pillow cases will be provided, but linens will not.
Campers should fly into Denver International Airport. We recommend to book arrival times between 9-11 am to allow for enough time to arrive to the campus. The preferred departure time is after 4pm. The Overnight camp includes all golf instruction, course play, evening activities, housing, and all meals. The Extended Day fee includes all of the above except housing and breakfast. Extended Day campers may participate in the evening activities which will include golf activities, recreational sports, movies and more.
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff lives in the dormitories/resort accommodations with the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 7:00am Wake-up/breakfast
- 8:00am Skills demonstrations conducted by Coach Neher and staff
- 8:30-11:30am Instruction - campers rotate through stations working on putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full-swing
- Noon Lunch, free-time
- 1:00-5:30pm Course play - focus on course management, strategy, shot selection, rules and etiquette
- 6:00pm Dinner, free-time, guest speakers, seminars
- 7:00-9:30pm Evening activities - movie night, pizza night, sports games etc.
- 10:00pm Lights out
