Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps at Lake Forest is dedicated to getting kids to enjoy golf and improve their games. Camp Director, Brian Konrath, and his Nike Camp staff are looking forward to another great season of golf in 2012.
Full Day Camps
The Learning Center Professional Teaching Staff is on hand to provide campers with top quality instruction each day. At Nike Golf Schools and Junior Camps we accommodate all skill levels; the junior player just discovering the game to the high school player trying to move up on the team. Under the watchful eye of the staff, each morning campers practice all aspects of their games- putting, chipping, bunker play and full-swing. The morning session is followed by lunch and then 9 holes of course play with staff.
Half Day Camps
Our half day programs are designed to create interest and foster development in beginners and intermediate golfers. For three hours each day, campers sharpen their skills with the staff. Strong emphasis is placed on the fundamentals—stance, grip, posture, full swing, rules & etiquette, etc. As the week unfolds, campers receive quality short-game instruction and by Friday, each Nike junior golfer will see improvement in his or her golf game!

Brian Konrath
Brian, a native Californian, is a second -generation golf professional and has been playing the game since he's been 5 years old. From age 7, he played on the junior PGA circut and captured the Orange County junior championship at age 9. He continued playing as a junior on the Norco High School golf team. After high school, Brian attended Orange Coast College and pursued his career as a golf professional, competing on the Golden State, Pepsi and Centerline tours, as well as numerous PGA sectional events. During that same period he worked at Riverview Golf Course, Black Gold Golf Club and Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center as an instructor and assistant golf professional, where he is now the Director of Instruction.
Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center
Lake Forest Golf & Practice Center offers a fun and friendly atmosphere for all types of golfers. Our charming 9-hole executive golf course is beautifully set among orange groves, mature trees and two sparkling lakes. The course layout is easily walkable and offers a perfect introduction to golf for beginning golfers and juniors, while still delivering a challenge to the seasoned player. The course is also lit, which offers a chance to play after work or spend an evening with friends.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 10:00am Instruction - practice on skills and fundamentals; grip, stance, posture, pitching, putting, bunker play and full swing
- 12:30pm Lunch (included in camp price, day campers depart)
- 1:00pm Course play with staff (9 holes). Focus on strategy, course management, shot selection, rules and etiquette
- 4:00pm Full Day campers depart

- A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
