Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps is excited to bring back Tee Time Golf Complex in Evansville, IN for a second straight year. Come join PGA Professional John Bertges and his staff for a week of quality golf instruction and fun!
Full Day Camp
These camps are an excellent opportunity for junior golfers (ages 9-16) to improve their skills and their course management at the same time. Each morning begins with three hours of instruction which covers all facets of the game including: short game, full swing, putting, chipping, swing technique principals, video analysis, and specific creation of a personal practice plan which can be taken home and developed well after they leave the camp. The morning instruction is followed by lunch and on-course play where professionals teach strategy, etiquette, and course management. All the focus is on lowering the golfers scores. The Full Day Camp is designed to create complete golfers and raise their game to the next level. The camps run Tuesday thru Friday, 9:00-4:00.
Half Day Camp
These camps offer juniors (ages 7-13) a fun opportunity to experience the wonders of golf in a healthy and positive environment. Our Half Day camps are designed to create interest and foster development in beginners and intermediate golfers. The camps run Tuesday to Friday and include 12 hours of instruction. For three hours each day, campers sharpen their skills with the Learning Center staff. Strong emphasis is placed on the fundamentals-stance, grip, posture, full swing, rules and etiquette, etc. As the week unfolds, campers receive quality short-game instruction and by Friday, each Nike junior golfer will see improvement in their golf game.
Highlights Include
- Small group instruction with low student/teacher ratio with our dedicated and experienced camp staff
- Three hours of practice each day working on all facets of the game; putting, chipping/pitching and the full-swing

Camp Director
John Bertges
John has spent over twenty years traveling around the world teaching & coaching the game of golf to players of all abilities. He has given over 25,000 career golf lessons. He has trained with Tom Wargo, Senior PGA Tour Player and former Senior PGA champion, and with Bill Davis (one of Golf Digest’s Top 50 teachers in the US) at Jupiter Hills Club in Tequesta, Florida. He also spent time at the world renowned PGA West in LaQuinta, California, studying golf swing mechanics with such notables as Mac O’Grady.
Read Full BioIn 2005, John was honored as the "2005 Guaranteed Golf's National Teacher of the Year". From 2000 through 2002, John was a Division III women’s golf coach for Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. He led his team to two consecutive conference championships. He also led his team to a 6th place finish in the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship. He was awarded “College Golf Coach of the Year” two years in a row by the NCAA’s CCIW Conference.
In 2000, John is honored as being the first ever golf professional to teach a golf instruction certification school in China. John has started two golf instructional companies overseas. To date, John has taught over 25,000 individual lessons around the world.
In 1995, John became a Class-A PGA Professional. John is also recognized as a PGTCA Master Instructor. (Professional Golf Teachers and Coaches of America).
The Tee Time Golf Complex Teaching Staff is headed by John Bertges, PGA Director of Instruction. All the staff is well trained in instruction and all current technologies in the golf industry. and experienced and accomplished players either on a collegiate or professional level. There is no doubt you will improve your game after partaking in one of our camps.
Tee Time Golf Complex
Tee Time Golf Complex is the one stop shop for golf learning and instruction in the Tri-State area. Located in the Evansville, IN, Tee Time has been in business serving the golfing public for over 17 years! The driving range is over 320 yards long and features sixty plus grass stations, twenty mats stations, covered stalls, and is fully lit at night. Theres is also two well manicured practice greens for putting and chipping as well as a greenside practice bunker. The golf course is a great playground for on-course lessons. The nine hole par 3 course enables golfers of any level to dramatically improve all aspects of their game. Water hazards, bunkers and trees are well integrated in the layout.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 9:00am Instruction - practice on skills and fundamentals; grip, stance, posture, pitching, putting, bunker play and full swing
- Noon Lunch (included in Full Day camp price, Half Day campers depart)
- 1:00pm Course play with staff (9 holes). Focus on strategy, course management, shot selection, rules and etiquette
- 4:00pm Full Day campers depart

- A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
