Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps, Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club Santa Clara, California
Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps and Camp Director, Kim Stevens, are pleased to offer this fabulous new location in 2012. Located in the south bay, Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club will offer Nike Full Day, Half Day and Advanced Camps for junior golfers looking to improve their game this summer.
Full Day Camps
The students in the full day camp enjoy three hours of instruction each morning. This instruction works on all facets of the game and prepares the junior player for the challenges of the course. After lunch, it’s off to the first tee to play nine holes. During course play our staff teaches strategy, etiquette and course management. The Full Day Camp is designed to create complete golfers and raise their game to the next level.
Half Day Camps
This program offers campers of all abilities the opportunity to work on and improve every part of their game. A Half Day camper will receive three hours of instruction with emphasis on putting, chipping, bunker play and full swing. From beginning players to advanced, these are great camps for anyone who wants to improve.
Advanced Camp
Designed for players (ages 10-17) who play competitive golf or who are looking to start playing competitively, our Advanced Players Camp takes the camp experience to the next level. Players receive individualized instruction with a low 4:1 student to teacher ratio. Emphasis is on short game instruction, tournament preparation, course management techniques, club fitting, and full swing video instruction. Daily course play of 9-18 holes is designed to elevate players' games to a more competitive level.
Highlights Include
- Small group instruction with low student/teacher ratio from experienced teaching professionals
- Daily course play with the staff (9 holes) focusing on course management, shot selection, strategy, rules and etiquette (Full Day/Advanced Camps only)
- Nike amenity package including a hat, balls, a camp workbook, bag tag and water bottle
- Safe, fun and healthy learning environment
Kim Stevens
Kim Stevens started directing Nike Golf Junior Camps at Summitpointe in 2002. Her junior campers come from as far as Saratoga and Dublin as Summitpointe has become THE place in the South Bay for Junior Summer Golf Camps. Safety and fun are the reasons the camps grow each year. She has been teaching golf to adults and juniors of all levels for over 10 years and started playing golf herself at the age of 4. We are excited to have Kim direct Nike Golf Camps at Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club and provide junior golfers on the peninsula with top-notch golf instruction during the summer.
Kim will be assisted by other teaching professionals with the knowledge and experience to help campers improve their games.
