Brescher came to Southern Miss after spending two years as the head men's and women's golf coach at Millsaps College. While there, Brescher led the Majors to a No. 37 ranking, which was the best in school history. He also had two team and individual wins, two SAA All-Conference players, 10 All-Tournament Team selections and six academic honor roll golfers.

Brescher is a former letterwinner at Southeastern Louisiana, where he earned Southland Conference All-Academic honors. Following his collegiate playing career, Brescher served as a Graduate Assistant at Southeastern Louisiana. During that time, Brescher helped with recruiting, arranging team practices and implementing team workouts. During that year, the Lions won two tournaments and finished third overall in the conference tournament.

The Ponchatoula, La., native then spent two years at the professional level, competing on the Adams and Hooters Golf Tours, as well as qualifying stages of the PGA Tour Q School. In Coach Brennan's first season the women's golf team finished first overall at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate and UAB Fall Beach Bash and the team finished third overall at the Conference USA Championship.

Brennan spent five years as the head coach at Saint Leo University, building the Lions into one of the premier Division II programs in the country. Under her tutelage, the Lions entered the national spotlight as the team made it's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2010. Brennan helped Saint Leo see itself consistently ranked in the national poll, ranking in the top-10 in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In the fall of 2012, the squad set numerous records, including the low single round team score (291) and low 36-hole tournament score (592) which they carded at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. Brennan led the Lions to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and was named Saint Leo's Coach of the Year in 2011.

Brennan served as an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee during the 2013-14 season, where she helped lead the Lady Vols to a berth in the 2014 NCAA Regionals, and most recently served as the National Recruiting Coordinator for Dan Tudor Collegiate Strategies. Prior to entering college coaching, Brennan spent two years as a certified instructor for the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and also worked in an operations role for the American Junior Golf Association.
