Join LPGA professional Kay Cornelius and her staff for an exciting summer camp dedicated to making golf more enjoyable for kids. Named "Top 50 Golf Resorts in America" by Golf World Magazine, The Ocotillo Resort is the perfect location for a Nike Golf School & Junior Camp.
Our program is designed to create interest and foster development for players of all ability levels. The camp runs for five days and includes 15 hours of total range instruction. For three hours each day, campers sharpen their skills with Kay Cornelius and her staff. Strong emphasis is placed on the fundamentals—stance, grip, posture, full swing, rules & etiquette, etc. As the week unfolds, campers receive quality short-game instruction and by Friday, each Nike junior golfer will see improvement in their golf game.

I enjoy my daily role as an LPGA Class ‘A’ Teaching Professional & Director of Instruction at the beautiful Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona. In addition to helping golfers of all ages and skill levels improve their games, I am honored to serve the LPGA as a National Evaluator. This role consists of evaluating teaching professionals as they move toward earning their Class ‘A’ status within the organization. In the recent past, I’ve also served the LPGA as a Major Evaluation Site Host and was the Director of the LPGA/USGA Girls’ Golf Future Stars Program of Phoenix.
Whatever your skill level, age, or reason for playing golf, I am here to help you increase your enjoyment of the game and to improve your golf skills. My golf experience is extensive and started very early in life -- having grown up traveling on the LPGA Tour with my mother, eight-time LPGA winner, Kathy Cornelius, and my father, PGA Life Member, Bill Cornelius. I began playing tournament golf at age 7 and would continue on to have an outstanding record as a junior golfer, which includes winning the USGA Girls’ Junior Amateur at the age of 14. My mother and I still hold the record as the only mother-daughter duo ever to have won USGA Championships -- she is the 1956 US Women’s Open Champion.
Ocotillo Golf Resort
A traditional-style course, Ocotillo Golf Resort's lush fairways, cascading waterfalls and colorful flora offer a unique contrast to the desert landscaped courses that permeate the Valley. The water features are both beautiful and dramatic and are integral part of Robinson's vision. The layout offers generous fairways and landing areas, creating birdie opportunities for golfers who think their way around the course.
The program includes four days of instruction with the last day dedicated to course play (9 holes), lunch and graduation ceremony.
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the director and staff and placed in a program that addresses their own instructional needs.
