Located in the middle of the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man is home to King William's College. King William's College was one of the first public schools in the 1800's. Campers will be staying in a nice residential dormitory. Each room accommodates between two and ten campers, with nearby bathroom facilities. You do not need to request a roommate before camp begins. When you register for camp, have your preferred roommate(s) with you and we will endeavour to room you together. If you have no preference, we will match you with someone of the same gender and similar age. The cafeteria and food service provides nutritious meals, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner service. A packed lunch will be provided daily.Meet your coaching staff

The NBC Difference
Unlike other camp programs where skills training falls under the expertise of the camp director, NBC Camps has built a program of training to help each camper walk out of camp a better player and person. Our site directors work as event managers helping to run a great week of camp and facilitating the implementation of our specific camp expectations. Our basketball instruction is based on skill curriculum and talent development we believe are essential to take your game to the next level. Though coaching styles and drills may change, our master teachers receive DVDs, lesson plans, and detailed training on how to maximize this week of camp. Coaching at camp is much different than coaching a team. With over 40 years experience, our goal is to give you the best basketball and life skills instruction possible.
TEACH BASKETBALL AND LIFE SKILLS AT A “WORLD CLASS” LEVEL
Coach the game at a world class level. FAB 4
• Protect the ball
• Play with quickness and intensity
• Play Smart
• Finish the play
Teach by living valuable skills for life. LIFE 4
• Guard your heart
• Live with love & intensity
• Be smart by seeking out wisdom
• Finish strong, never give up
The ability to know, understand and apply is the heart of NBC’s Teach, Encourage, Correct method. True teaching takes place when the student knows how to reproduce the skill and self-correct the skill when it is wrong.
About the basketball venues
The basketball venues are located all over the Island and include the National Sports Centre (NSC), which has two full size courts with wooden floors and glass backboards. A basketball enthusiasts’ dream!
The Thursday of camp is D-Day. A day on which we will push you to your limit both physically and mentally. If you are up for a challenge, this is the place to be….
We run a special Carnival on one night of our camp, when campers compete against staff and each other in fun games. Popular games in the past have been 1 v 1 and 2 v 2 against our coaches! A wonderful way to relax after an intense day at camp.
On our last night of camp, we have a late night pizza feast to round off the camp experience.
Parents are welcome to attend any aspect of camp. We would particularly like to encourage parents join us for the All Star games, League finals and closing Award Ceremony on the final day at camp, starting at 2pm at the National Sports Centre in Douglas.
Camp registration starts at 1pm at King William College, Castletown, IOM. Campers will either arrive at KWC from the Douglas ferry terminal (see Travel section below) or under their own steam.
Round trip transportation by ferry from the mainland to IOM is included in the cost of camp. Campers travelling from the UK mainland will meet at the ferry terminal where tickets for the ferry are issued for all NBC campers by our NBC representative. From this time all travel is included.
The ferry to the IOM leaves from the Liverpool IOM ferry terminal early on the first day of camp and will return to Heysham late on the last day of camp. [Please note that the departure and arrival ports are different]
Parents and campers will be informed of the meeting and sailing times once they have been confirmed.
Campers can fly to the IOM from several airports in the UK. An NBC representative will meet you at the airport and transportation will be arranged to camp.
