Xcelerate Nike Cleveland Lacrosse Club Cleveland, Ohio
With instruction as its foundation, the Xcelerate Nike Lacrosse Club is a select team program designed for players looking to develop their skills beyond the spring season. Our focus is player development and lacrosse education.
As an organization we target lacrosse players who are not only committed to improving their skills, but who also show a selfless dedication to teamwork, a willingness to be coached, and an appreciation for the importance of good citizenship and strong character.
Players in our program will participate in nationally competitive tournaments and attend high performance clinics and camps instructed by professional players and collegiate coaches.
As former collegiate and professional players ourselves, we understand the dedication it takes to play at an elite level. We look forward to sharing our knowledge, experience, and passion for lacrosse with young men who are enthusiastic about reaching their full potential.

Brian Lalley - Cleveland Program Director
Brian Lalley comes to Xcelerate after spending 4 seasons as the Men’s Head Assistant Coach at Canisius College (D1) where he served as the team’s offensive coordinator.Read Full Bio
During his time with Canisius, Lalley helped three players earn four All-MAAC selections. He guided Simon Giourmetakis to first-team all-conference accolades in 2011 and 2012, becoming just the fourth player in the program’s history to garner first-team honors on two occasions. In addition, midfielder Tim Edwards collected 2012 MAAC Rookie of the Year accolades to go along with second-team all-conference honors.
Prior to joining the Canisius coaching staff in 2009, Lalley played four seasons at Ohio State. He was also a two-year starter at Orchard Park High School in the Buffalo area, earning All-America, first-team All-Western New York and first-team All-ECIC honors.
A three-time Academic All-Big Ten Selection, Lalley graduated from Ohio State with his bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs with a minor in business and a concentration in coaching. He earned his master’s in sport administration from Canisius in 2011 and a master’s in physical education in 2013.
Steve Anderson - Team U11 Head Coach
Steve Anderson was most recently the Rocky River High School Varsity lacrosse coach leading the team to a 61-11 record in four seasons, as well as, two appearances in the Division 2 Ohio State Finals in both 2012 & 2013. In 2010 he was named Ohio’s D2 Coach of the Year and in 2013 NW Ohio Division Coach of the Year. Anderson was also an Assistant Coach at the University of Virginia (2000) and Whittier College (1999).
In 2003, Anderson co-founded Xcelerate Lacrosse Camps, which today is considered the #1 provider of high performance lacrosse instruction across the United States. In 2012, Anderson founded the Xcelerate Lacrosse Club with multiple travel teams in Cleveland, Portland (OR), Seattle, and Indianapolis, enabling young lacrosse players to play in competitive tournaments throughout the summer and fall months.
Anderson played in two NCAA Division 1 Final Fours for the University of Virginia, was a captain his senior year, and was selected to play in the prestigious North-South Collegiate All-Star game. He grew up in Huntington, NY, and was an All-American for Cold Spring Harbor High School.
David St. Pierre - Team U13 Head Coach
David St. Pierre was a founding member of the Rocky River Youth Lacrosse organization in 1999, where he remains active as a coach and administrator. Prior to founding the Rocky River Youth program, St. Pierre coached with the Lakewood (OH) Club program and St. Ignatius H.S.
St. Pierre played NCAA Division III lacrosse at Ohio Wesleyan University. During his time at OWU, he competed in 3 Division III National Championship games for Head Coach Mike Pressler.
St. Pierre played his high school lacrosse at perennial Ohio power Worthington High School from 1983-1986.
Ted Dimond - Team U15 Head Coach
Ted Dimond is the Varsity Assistant Lacrosse Coach at Rocky River High School where he helped lead the team to the Division II Ohio State Championship Game in both 2012 & 2013.
Dimond competed in the 2011 International World Indoor Lacrosse Games in Prague, Czech Republic for the English National Team and played collegiately at Division 1 Quinnipiac University from 2007-2010. Dimond was named to the ECAC All Academic Team his junior year and the NEC All Academic Team his senior year.
Dimond grew up in Marblehead, MA, where he played his youth and high school lacrosse.
Gary Cintron - Team U17 Head Coach
Gary Cintron was a founding member of the Rocky River Youth Lacrosse organization in 1999, where he has coached for the last 15 seasons and remains active as a youth coach.
Cintron was a member of the lacrosse team at Ohio University from 1986 to 1990 and grew up in Suffolk County (NY) where he played lacrosse for powerhouse Sachem High School.
Jason Tarnow - Team U18 Head Coach
Jason Tarnow was named the first head coach and led the men’s Lacrosse team through their first season in Baldwin Wallace history in 2013-2014. The team finished with a 6-5 record with 122 goals and 59 assists.
Tarnow was the Head Coach at The College of Wooster for nine seasons. At Wooster, his teams never had a losing season and posted a 72-51 record with a .577 winning percentage. The 72 wins is the most in Fighting Scot history. Tarnow also coached 39 All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) student-athletes, two Division III All-Americans and a North-South All-Star Game participant. He was selected the NCAC Coach of the Year in 2004 after his team won the school’s first NCAC title with a school-best overall record of 11-3.
Before taking over at Wooster, Tarnow served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at NCAA Division I Butler (Ind.) University and as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Salisbury (Md.) University.
At Salisbury, Tarnow was the 1998 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Player-of-the-Year, a two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American and was the Most Valuable Player of the 1999 National Champion Team.
In addition, our coaches have a proven track record and will follow the Xcelerate curriculum in order to maximize player development at each level!!!
