After seven successful years at Miami University of Ohio we will be moving our Nike Tennis Camp to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. We are thrilled about the new location and believe it will make our camp better than ever!

The outstanding facilities at Ohio University include ten lighted outdoor courts as well as four beautiful indoor courts. These new features will not only guarantee play and instruction in the event of inclement weather, but will also give us the versatility of evening tennis. In addition, we will have total access to a state of the art indoor swimming pool which will provide a refreshing break during the hot summer days and another fun off-court activity. Combined with the All-American campus and outstanding dining facilities, we firmly believe that we will be able to add tremendous value to your Nike Tennis Camp experience.

Mario Contardi and Steve Contardi will, as always, be directing the camp and will be in residence for every session. Many of last year’s favorite Nike Camp counselors will be returning in 2008 and we expect the return of many former Nike Campers as well as new campers of all ages.

The camp dates at the 2008 Ohio University Nike Tennis Camp are:

June 15-20 (Sun-Fri) plus Tournament Training Session
June 21-26 (Sat-Thur)
July 13-18 (Sun-Fri)
July 19-24 (Sat-Thur)

You can choose an Overnight option ($775) or an Extended Day Camp option ($565 for 8:30 a.m to 9:00 p.m.). A $250 deposit will reserve your space for next summer.

Nike Running Camps is proud to announce a new location for 2008! Join us this summer at the Brush Mountain Cross Country Camp at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, VA.

Train on Virginia Tech’s grass cross country course on campus in the Jefferson National Forest. Camp director Ann McGranahan invites you to attend camp July 27 – 31.

Contact Football Camps announces that for the summer of 2008, it has moved its Southern California Contact Football Camp from the University of Redlands to Whittier College in Los Angeles, California.

San Rafael, CA - Entering its 31st summer in business, Contact Football Camps, LLC one of the largest FULL CONTACT Football Camps in the country announced today that it will host its 2008 Contact Football Camp in Southern California this summer the week of July 6-10 at Whittier College, Los Angeles, CA.

Named “Top Camp” in Sports Illustrated for Kids, Contact Football Camps are known worldwide and have been called the finest instructional football camps for football players ages 8-18 in the United States by coaches, Pros and the media.

The camp program features FULL CONTACT DRILLS AND SCRIMMAGES with a staff of major college coaches and NFL players. At Contact Camps, “contact” is introduced in a slow, gradual progression before any actual “contact” is initiated. Campers are divided according to age, weight and ability. The instruction (3 times a day) stresses both individual positions and team play with every camper. Thousands of previous Contact Football campers played, or are now playing college football (many at schools represented by our coaching staff).

Directing this outstanding week of camp is Head Football Coach BJ Hammer. Coach Hammer is coming off his second season as the head coach of the Poets. Previously he spent three seasons as the defensive coordinator for Whittier and continues in that role as the head coach. BJ began his coaching career as the outside linebackers coach for Wabash College in 2001-2002 and he was also the assistant strength coach. In 2002, he was the linebackers coach for Heidelberg College in Tiffin, OH. Hammer was also the strength and conditioning coach for Heidelberg. Coach Hammer has been a veteran clinician of Contact football Camps and we are thrilled to have him directing this summer’s camp.
