NIKE Baseball Camps To Host Two Locations In Florida
The NIKE Baseball Camps venture to the sunshine state to give campers additional opportunities to refine their skills in a premier environment where the pros have played and trained.
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) June 10, 2013 - The NIKE Baseball Camps venture to the sunshine state to give campers additional opportunities to refine their skills in a premier environment where the pros have played and trained. There will be two weeks in June at Tigertown in Lakeland, FL and one week in July at the Vero Beach Sports Complex in Vero Beach, FL.
Tiger Town is the regular season home of the Lakeland Flying Tigers, the Class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers who have been training in Lakeland since 1934 and have been playing in Joker Marchant Stadium since 1966. In those many years Tiger Town has evolved into a complete training complex that includes the ballpark, other training fields, dorm, training facilities and team clubhouses.
Vero Beach Sports Village was the longtime spring training home of the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers and is widely recognized as one of baseball's greatest historic treasures. From it's inception, the complex then-known as Dodgertown, was designed to give teams the opportunity to train, live and play together in a unique environment where athletes could develop their skills to the highest level. These grounds were once occupied by Hall of Fame legends Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Don Drysdale, Sandy Koufax, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Don Sutton and Tommy Lasorda.
