US Sports Camps and Behn Basketball Camps
US Sports Camps is proud to announce the addition of Behn Basketball Camps to the US Sports Camps and Nike Basketball Camps family.
Behn Basketball Camps are one of the premier basketball camp networks in the New England. Founded by women's basketball legend, Sarah Behn, over 26,000 successful athletes have graduated from Behn Basketball Camps since it began in 1993. Behn's philosophy has been to instill confidence in young players by teaching basketball fundamentals, which in turn will raise individual level of play and make the game more fun to play. Camp enrollment is separated by age and gender for all basketball activities.
Sarah Behn as a Player:
At Boston College, Sarah was the first BC woman in school history to surpass the 2,000 point plateau. She set a Big East freshman scoring record (428 points) and was the league's "Rookie of the Year." Sarah was the first Boston College player ever to earn All-America honors as a freshman. Sarah is the only four-time All-America basketball player in Boston College history.
As a senior at BC, Sarah became the Women's basketball all-time leading scorer in the Big East, men or women (2,523 career points).
Since 1993, Sarah has been the President of the Sarah Behn Basketball Camp. Over the last 17 years, the camp has grown to be the largest and most successful camp in New England. The camps are now offered to girls and boys in more than 25 different towns across Massachusetts.
