Findlay Prep Receives #1 National High School Boys Basketball Ranking
Findlay College Prep (Henderson, Nevada), which is 16-0 takes over top spot from last week’s No. 1 Oak Hill Academy, according to MaxPreps and USAToday.
“I’m really proud of our guys. They’ve worked extremely hard this year, and their effort is paying off so far,” Johnson said. “But the key, like I said, is it’s a start. Our goal is to be No. 1 in April. And as long as we continue to get better every day, and have a great attitude and a good effort, I think we could have a chance to do it.”
Coach Johnson credits the success of his team to the off-season where players develop their skills and refine fundamentals. “Summer is the time when players get better. Competing against the top players from other areas is a great way to determine one’s strengths and weaknesses on the court.”
Coach Johnson will host an exciting weekend and complete skills Nike Basketball Camp at Findlay Prep this summer. This will be a great opportunity for boys ages 8-15 who are looking to improve their game and learn from the best.
