Nike Basketball Camps Announce New Camps with Cal Basketball
(PRWEB) February 19, 2014 – Cal Men's and Women's Basketball join US Sports Camps and Nike Basketball Camps for the summer of 2014.
US Sports Camps continues to build its Nike Basketball Camp presence throughout the Bay Area through the addition of Cal Men's and Women's Basketball. The alliance with these two premier NCAA programs marks a significant step for US Sports Camps and its Nike Basketball Camp growth.
The new partnership with Cal Men's Basketball also marks a return for USSC to its basketball camp roots; Coach Mike Montgomery was one of the company's first basketball camp directors during his time at Stanford in the 1980's.
Cal Women's Basketball Head Coach, Lindsay Gottlieb talks about the importance of camp for player development, "Summer is the time when players get better. They get exposure to new techniques, drills, and skill analysis. In addition, playing against top competition and players from other areas is a great way to better understand one's strengths and weaknesses on the court."
The Cal Women's Basketball staff will run 4 sessions of camp: Bear for a Day, California Kids' Camp and two sessions of California Jam Fest - a team oriented camp. All sessions will run from June 14-22, 2014. The Cal Men's Basketball staff will run one week of camp for players 5-16 from June 23-26, 2014.
