First and Last Name: Brandon Carter - Director of US Sports Camp

Location you direct: Toledo, Ohio

How long have you been coaching football? 12 years at the varsity level.

How long have you been directing US Sports Football Camps? This is my first year.

Why did you start coaching football?  My nephew (Jalil Carter) talked me into coaching his sophomore year, at first, I was very hesitant about doing it but once I stepped on that field I fell in love with it.

Favorite Camp Drill or Activity at Camp? My favorite activity at camps were always the 1 on 1 drills being a DB I loved going up against receivers challenging guys and just competing.

What is the key to an incredible camp experience for you? The key is making the camp fun for everyone, kids and instructors, but still learning in the process. One on one involvement between participant and instructor so that learning process is fulfilled.

Your perfect camper on day #1 arrives with what qualities? A perfect camper will be ready and willing to learn and excited about the process of doing so.  More importantly having the passion to compete and get better.

Which college or pro coach do you admire and why? Nick Saban, because through all of his success and championships he approaches every year the same.  Success never gets taken for granted, his guys always compete at a high level and he continues to outwork everyone in the country year in and year out.  His players buy into what he believes in and take on his personality which translates to success.

Which college or pro player do you make it a point to watch play? Tom Brady because he approaches the game as if he is fifty-third man on the roster.

What message would you like parents to understand prior to camp? If you are passionate about something you will work on it every day.  Nobody should have to motivate you to work on your craft if it is truly your passion.
