Nike Golf Schools and Junior Camps Brings New Overnight Program to Samford University
Samford University and the Bulldogs men’s golf program are set to host a Nike Junior Overnight Golf Camp this summer.
(PRWEB) March 6, 2012 – Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps added another prominent Division I institution to their 2012 golf camp schedule by teaming up with Samford University for one week of overnight golf camp this summer. The program at Samford will represent the only Nike Overnight Camp offering in the state of Alabama.
Samford Head Men’s Golf Coach, Woodie Eubanks, will direct the Nike Golf Camp alongside other teaching professionals and members of the Bulldog men’s golf team. Eubanks, who is in his 9th year as head coach, was named Southern Conference Coach of the Year in 2011 after leading his young squad to a fourth-place finish in the prestigious and competitive SoCon. During his tenure, Eubanks has led his teams to their first conference championships, their first NCAA appearance, and their highest national rankings in school history, and he looks forward to establishing a presence in Birmingham junior golf by hosting Nike Golf Camp this June.

The Nike Junior Overnight Camp at Samford University is slated for June 24 – 28. The program is coed and open to junior golfers, ages 10 – 18. Campers are housed on campus and travel to Hoover Country Club for golf activities. For those golfers who live locally, there is a day camp option during the same camp week.
